Stilistisch und schauspielerisch super. Die Story hat mich aufgrund ständiger Umwege etwas liegengelassen. Aber das ist vielleicht auch so beabsichtigt. Interessantes Ding.

A great movie to end the year. Loved how the whole put-those-sunglasses-on-to-see-the-truth stuff was done. Fantastic and suspenseful story, good score, nice action with a hilarious fight scene in the middle. Saw this at the local cinema, which made this a little more special even.
Solid old-school slasher. Could have had some more explanation of the motive for me, but that's about it regarding criticism. The special effects of the kills are ones of the best I've seen. And it has otherwise good action, a good cast, and some good humour.
This was good! It's a bit like Flatliners meets The Sixth Sense. It was suspenseful, had great acting, great pace, and a real good story (although, I didn't fully get it (,yet?)). It's one of the better newer horror movies for sure. And I'd watch it again.
Well, Mr. Anderson! This is another fine film you made here. And luckily for me, the pace is not as high as his previous effort, which makes this much easier to follow. It's still a raid on your eyes and ears, though. But in a good way. But I always feel, one has to watch his film multiple times to have a chance to fully appreciate them.
Once more, the set, costumes, characters, dialogues, his signature camera work are all top-notch again. It's really neat.
Liked how the photo camera of the main character had audible long exposure times where it made sense. And there's a million other things to like. But that makes it also a bit exhausting. I'd still watch it again!
Well, the first half is actually pretty good, where everyone's mostly talking. And the scene with the first kills is fantastic. And visuals and music are great (and one of the trademarks of this film, I'd say). But then it goes downhill. The action is not very inspired. The end drags on forever, and even the music in becomes cheesy. Meh…
Now that's a good Christmas movie! I'm not sure, if I've even seen this before. The Gremlins are very well done. It's funny and gruesome. I have no regrets and would watch it again.
Jeez! Really super. A little strange maybe – in a general kind of way.
Seriously, this is damn good. I'm sure, I have watched Fargo before, but I really had no recollection. And it surprised me again how good this is. The dialogues, the cast, the plot. Everything's great here. It feels like every five minutes the story escalates. And – oh my – feeding his partner into a wood chipper in the end. Uff…
This is a lot like a Hitchcock movie. But more funny, more absurd with more wacky characters. But still with a lot of suspense and a good story. Is it better than the Hitchcock counterparts? I don’t know. But it was a very enjoyable watch.
Just incredible. And tragic.
I thought this looks very good, has good atmosphere, has humor, and throughout quite a few good moment. The end is great, too. But overall, this didn’t entertain me all that much. I found it too long and his co-workers super annoying (without adding much to the plot).
I think this must be one of those movies that introduced certain scenes and props. Liked it, especially how everything escalates in the end and how the increasing phobia is played by Catherine Deneuve.
Two women and their breasts get into a precarious situation high above the ground. It gets points for its vertigo-inducing scenes (although, too much CGI), the suspense and that plot twist. But otherwise it's a bit of an eye-roller.
A wonderful adventure film. Perfect for with your 6-year old. Zoe liked it. Everybody liked it.
Unfortunately, we had to cancel our gig in Wuppertal this Friday due to illness.
Come on Barbie, let’s go party! And what a fun party this is! It deals very well with “the Barbie topic” as well as societal themes, too. But overall, it’s a an amusing film with a gimmicky set and great characters. Which are brilliantly portrayed by the cast. Watching this only once is not Kenough.
What can I say? It was great fun to watch this again with a bunch of my friends. And I would do it again.
This is so evil and dark. This time I wasn’t quite in the right setting, but it still gripped me once again. It’s so well filmed; the audio is great. I just feel like I don’t quite get all the symbolism, which really only is the main topic at the end. But man, the last 15 minutes is just pure horror.
This was better than the original. The action is ridiculously good. It’s still an American navy though. But I like how it relates to the original and that it at the same time doesn’t take itself too seriously. And again watched this in great company (with commentary) which made this all the more enjoyable.
Honestly, this is pretty great! It gets enough points for how this is made with marionettes. Totally over the top (or is it? ;)) and totally entertaining. America, fuck yeah!
I really had lots of fun watching this. If you have the right company, don’t take it seriously, it’s awesome. It’s in some way its own parody. And the action is indeed great I must say. Everything else is pretty cheesy. U-S-A, U-S-A!
Puh! I’m not quite sure if this is meant as a parody. If it is: ok, but it’s really over the top with lots of CGI and unnecessary action. I don’t know. A weird one.
A fantastic story (basically) about a teacher – who seems to be the only sane adult at that school – get singled out and blamed for what’s wrong at a school. It’s tragic and Leonie Benesch plays this absolutely brilliantly. The other cast is fantastic, too. So, I liked this a lot, and for some reason I thought this could have been longer and not be so open-ended.

Now, I only need to get my arm fit again…
I'm not too much convinced about the premise: that Laurie – 40 years later – is still obsessed with Michael, and how he escapes (of course!) exactly on Halloween. And then it all peaks in this Home-Alone-ish finale.
But the suspense and slasher-action, the visuals, the soundtrack, the cast, is pretty good, I must say. So I still ended up well entertained.
Rambo just wanted to have lunch in that little town after he found out his comrade had recently died. And then he got persecuted and things escalated.
This really is a great movie, and I always think it has way more depth than its reputation might suggest. The action is great though.
Johnny Depp as a wounded/dead man still walking. Surreal, dreamy, funny, great acting. And the soundtrack is especially noteworthy: it's just Neil Young and his electric guitar, and it all sounds like he's improvising live to the movie. Just great.
Still don’t know what’s going on (and that’s part of the fun). Still very entertaining. Still like this very much!
Great riffs, powerful vocals, raw sound, and all killers no fillers. Thrash!!!
For some reason, this is the album from their discography that I had been drawn to first. And I absolutely love it!
Converge were so impressive live a few weeks back, I had to get more into them. And it’s absolutly rewarding once you do. So many interesting ideas and songs on this album. Plus the musicianship is top notch. And that sound!
The whole thing is so damn heavy! And in a different way than I’m used to from - say - Death Metal. A ferocious steamroller.
