The source code for my podcast builder app is open source. Of course I use my outliner to edit the OPML file for the podcast text and link in the enclosure. I recommend opening it in Drummer. To see how the atts work, click on the suitcase icon with the cursor on the main head for each episode. The new att is enclosure, which is the URL of the audio for the podcast. Drummer automatically fills in the length and type.

Attempted to give blood for the first time today but failed the vein assessment. Gutted. Signing up was easy, and the team at the new donation centre in Brighton are really friendly, so go and give blood.
Trying to practice my Spanish, I repeat phrases like “con leche de almendra” in my head as I walk to the coffee shop… But then they speak in English anyway. One of these days I will learn the language for real. Need to ramp up my Duolingo time.
Catching up on this news from Mark Gurman about the upcoming Siri redesign, with a dedicated app and more conversational interface:
The app’s main interface will display prior conversations in either a list or a grid of rounded rectangles with text previews. Users can pin favorite chats, save older conversations, search across interactions and start new chats via a prominent plus button.
This all sounds pretty reasonable.

First, I want to say how great the jazz scene is in New York. I caught a little Latin at my go-to Guantamera last night, but the band seemed to be phoning it in a bit, so I walked over to Dizzy’s and heard an amazing big band performance by the Diva all-women Jass Orchestra, … Continue reading Community Antibodies →

I'd like an AI bot that could do this. I open my browser to a page on netflix.com. It scans the page, figures out what movies are there, then it searches metacritic for each and presents me a list of all shows with a rating above a certain score. I know the streamers don't want us to have this info (I don't really understand why) but I really want it. BTW, they say the Green Knight is fantastic. Got the tip from a NYT email, but even they didn't say what the rating was, or even what their own reviewer said. Had to do this thing manually. Do they have any user-oriented creative people in the mix anywhere in this system??

Warm tea
I like to put my hands over the top of a cup of warm tea. I enjoy the warmth, and want to hold onto it for as long as possible. Whether I am holding a textbook or exploring blogs, if I have a cup of tea by my side I want to feel its warmth. As I write, I am sitting next to a warm cup of tea, resting on the arm of my chair. The vibration of movement as I type creates a gentle ripple on the water, a ripple that reminds me of the calm river where I spent time last weekend. It is amazing what there is to see in the ordinary.
Hello from Spain! Just arrived and found a nice little coffee shop in Cádiz. How did I get here…? I recorded a new episode of Timetable to share the first part of my trip. 🇪🇸
