Can't recommend this enough... #ffconf is one of the most excellent, friendly, informative, and well-curated frontend confs out there and there's a good reason people keep going year on year.
Playing with Green PT - an AI with sustainability and privacy, plus European data sovereignty and a remarkably screen reader accessible website too:

The 11th @webaim Screen Reader Users Survey is open until 31 August:
https://webaim.org/projects/screenreadersurvey11/
If you use a screen reader, it'll take about 10 minutes to contribute to the body of knowledge around the screen readers in use, how they're used, and more.
Well, it finally happened... I refused a cup of tea this afternoon.
I know, right?
It's 35C outside and almost 32C in my office.
I am not designed to cope with this reality.

And, for the avoidance of doubt, that's because I think Ryanair is despicable for the way they treat all of their passengers, not just those with children.

And I will have not the slightest bit of reluctance flying with absolutely any other airline... (And no, I do not have children).

With thanks to @dletorey I have a shiny new sticker for my laptop! CC @jaffathecake
I know it's nearly everyone's favourite Hockney, if they have such a thing, but A Bigger Splash is one of those visual memories that has stayed with me in the 26 years since I stopped seeing the world. Something about the shades of translucent blue swimming pool water with the sunlight reflecting off it, makes me feel good, even to this day.
David Hockney #RIP

My brain finally came up with the reason the title of the 2026 #Eurovision winning song from Bulgaria, Bangaranga, sounded so familiar... it's almost identical to the battle-cry of The Lost Boys in the 1991 Spielberg film Hook, Bangarang!
There's as much chance of getting this right as winning a game of 52 Card Pick-up, but PerlBod and I are calling it for #Sweden, #Austria, #Belgium for the top three at #Eurovision 2026.
For reasons I cannot fathom, #Lithuania makes me think of a silver jellybean.
The live AD has outdone itself... #Norway described as wearing "shiny black Argyle pattern salopettes". The mind boggles, it really does.
#Sweden with a solid four-to-the-floor all the way to the drop at #Eurovision.
Why on earth was #Finland the bookie's favourite going into the #Eurovision finals?
It's an awful lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth as far as I can make out.
She's going to need another bow though.
Well #France can certainly belt out a tune. Reminds me a little of early Björk, only with range and decibels.
Still think #UK sounds like The Jam meets Scooter
It's a simple trick but impressive nonetheless... #Croatia appearing to float off the ground whilst holding onto a staff planted on the ground.
If I was #Malta I'd have a word with my wardrobe department... why wear a western outfit to sing a song that sounds like you should be in a lounge bar late at night in about 1955?
Thanks to #Serbia I now know that "pauldrons" are big spiky shoulder pad arrangements. Who knew? Well, PerlBod apparently.
Impressive staging from #Australia and the song had a catch too it too, not to mention some welly.
#Albania should probably stick to polishing their sunglasses collection.
#Belgium opening with a funky beat... the mismatched boots are making my teeth itch though.
Settling in for #Eurovision and once again, the #BBC has live Audio Description for the whole event ❇️ 💜
