Parking deck. I need more dedicated photography time! Currently it feels very incidental and not intentional. I miss the intentionality, the crafting vs. reacting. I need to make time.
I finally managed to install Maurice's IndieConnector plugin, so in theory this blog is now able to send and receive webmentions. Incoming ones are not yet displayed anywhere, that's something I might be able to work on over the weekend. (Please send some, so I can check whether it is working. π)

Not a single dandelion was left on the streetβ¦

Listening to music and watching the neighborhood. π We started adding music we hear on the radio while driving (usually WDRcosmo) to a "car playlist" and that's what they enjoy listening to currently.

Another movie night! Can you believe it? Took us a couple of months. I am sure you know the movie from the still above.

Chair.
Hell froze over and Daniel started using a digital camera again at the beginning of the year. He recently published his first monthly post: Go have a look!

Doing some embroidery.

Drawing.

The kitchen is up. We're very excited! Also no more doing the dishes in the bathtub! π

The kitchen build has started and will hopefully conclude tomorrow. Really happy with our choices! π
How is it April already? But since it is, beyond tellerrand is right around the corner! Go get yourself a ticket if you haven't already. It is the 15th anniversary this year! Glad to have been there for about half of it. Make sure to say hello if you spot me taking photos.

Observing color on this bright and beautiful day.
If all goes to plan, we'll get our kitchen tomorrow. At least part of it. Finishing touches will be done on Friday. I am soooo looking forward to finally being able to do some proper cooking or, you know, store food in a fridge!

Didn't get anything good today β I was too busy chauffeuring my kids around (and work stuff), so I'll just use this image from two days ago. I call this "Dueling trees". (No I don't, I abandoned titling my images a long time ago, because it took more time to come up with a title than shooting, post processing and posting the photos.)

Made it back home, after spending a very relaxing weekend at my parents'. Photo taken during (thankfully) very short traffic jam.
In other news: It seems we will finally get our kitchen by the end of the week. π€

Happy Easter! Took a couple of images with my dadβs GFX100RF today. Beautiful camera.

Reviewing today's images with grandpa β and observing light and shadow during a family walk this afternoon.

Took this at a rest stop while stretching my legs.

Evening walk to clear my head. What a week it has been! I am so looking forward to a couple of days off (and I don't necessarily mean work, just everythingβ¦), I really need that break.
I've finally gotten around to sending out the zines and prints I gave away for the last 365 project finish. Everyone who I contacted about them winning: I am very sorry for the delay. I delivered packages to the post office today. Depending on where you are in the world it might take a couple of weeks to get to you. π€

Lumi and I went to Gruga to check on the Herons. I remembered that I had lots of fun photographing them last year. I think we were a bit late in the day, but I managed to get a couple of mid-flight shots of various birds, a heron among them.

Discarded.

Observing reflections.

Always a favorite place to visit after heavy rain.

The tree outside our kitchen (well, atm it is just another room, because there is still no kitchen in it) window is in full bloom. We were able to borrow a stove top from friends. The kids really wanted to have noodles and tomato sauce. π

One more post with a dozen random impressions from our trip to TΓΌrkiye. Tomorrow it will be back to our regular ol' program.

Made it back home yesterday. The journey was quite smooth, but leave it to Deutsche Autobahn to slow us down for an hour on the last 10 km of our trip. π Oh well.
I said this before, I am very glad we could make this trip happen on such short notice, and especially as a family, despite the circumstances. Or rather β we couldn't have made this trip if not for the circumstances. I strongly believe it was the right move to have the kids be part of it all. They are such compassionate, empathetic human beings. I couldn't be more proud.

Final visit to the cemetery. Since there is no gravestone yet, the kids found a piece of marble and created a temporary one with a sharpie.

Short trip to Osmaniye, which was cut short due to some family obligations of my father in law. We might try again tomorrow. It will be our last day before we head home very early on Wednesday morning.

The mourning tents were removed yesterday and we went to visit my father in law on his farm. Very scenic views, flats on one side, mountains on the other. Also lots of different animals. The weather was nice as well, so we spent the whole day outside and ended with a nice barbecue. Lumi found a penny board and taught herself to ride it over the course of the day.

Ulya took a break in the afternoon yesterday and we drove to the ocean. I think I wrote before about the sad state of the beach, which is even more dirty than last time we visited. Such a shame. The clouds made for a dramatic backdrop, though.
