Today is the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day.

Remembering my Grandparents who served during World War II in the Merchant Navy, Home Guard, Women's Land Army, and as a hospital Nurse.

Also remembering those forgotten by the history books: the 2.5 million South Asians (including Hindus, Sikhs, and Muslims), the 1 million Africans (notably Kenyans), and the 10s of thousands of Caribbeans (notably Jamaicans).

When they fought Fascism they fought it together.

Thank you. #VEDay

It is [checks watch], Saturday 26 April, and PerlBod just iced the Christmas cake.

No, not next Christmas' cake.

To be fair, it was the spare Christmas cake we made last year; experimentally fed on Triple Sec instead of Brandy.

Though, after feeding it for 6 months, I'm not sure how much we'll care what it tastes like, after the first slice or so...

Lunch with friends was homemade Cumberland sausages, with mash and peas, plus Yorkshire puddings (because they're PerlBod's favourite); followed by lemon tarte and cream.

I need to nap.

@bkardell is there somewhere I can find out more about the Servo accessibility implementation?

Can anyone put me in touch with a lawyer who really understands the European Accessibility Act (EAA)? I have a question I could use an opinion on - and happy to pay for the time. Thanks.

One thing I particularly like about my Meta Glasses, is that I no longer need to go to a thing to determine its state.

Before, if I wanted to know if the curtains were closed on a window at the other end of our open plan house, I had to go there and find out. Now, I can stand by the front-door and ask.

It's the little things sometimes 🙌
