Mostly work today. And I put together another shelf in the basement. Still needs some organizing, but I swear I'll never let it become as chaotic as it was in our last house.

Ah, the sun is back! Spent a couple of hours outside today. Kindergarten was out due to a strike, so Suvi and I went to the park. She tried roller skating for the first time and managed very well!

Got almost everything out of the old apartment today. We are going to make some pizza there tomorrow as the final act, then our yer sofrasΔ± (floor table) can move over as the last thing β and we'll be done moving! Only the final cleanup left after that. Self Reflection in the (new) kitchen window.

The little one has a bit of a hard time with us moving. When removing the curtains earlier we found a little "I was here" mark, she left in her room. β€οΈ

Ulya prepared some instant noodles in our makeshift kitchen (aka the floor). The real thing might take a bit longer than expected. We'll get a table from the basement tomorrow and then make do with our rice cooker and sandwich toaster and we'll probably get an electric kettle. The plan is to get the rest of our stuff out of the old apartment over the weekend. π€

We moved mattresses over today. First night in the new place! I also went to the carnival parade with the little one. We managed to fill the whole bag we had with us. The weirdest gift we received this time was a red watering can. π€·ββοΈ

When we first got Ivy (the plant), she barely reached over the edge of her pot. Now, sheβs made her way halfway around the room in both directions. Of course, weβre taking her with us to the new apartment and we hope she likes it there as much as we do.

I just educated myself on the meaning of the signs below the big obvious one: Turns out they specify the diamater and location of waterlines, hydrants and shut-off valves for the fire department.

So much is happening at once right now, it is hard to keep track. Mostly good things but a couple of sad things as well. Got the keys to the new flat yesterday. It is almost ready! We're really looking forward to moving in. Got the above photo in during my commute (on foot) today. Walk/drive past this hotel almost every day but I never photographed it.
