Spent a couple of hours outside with the girls today. We even saw a huge flock of migrating birds, though very far away. (A bit too far for my 50mm equivalent lens.)

Happy Halloween. Glad I didn't have to resort to another pumpkin image, because I met a couple of guys, who were spraying yet another piece of art onto the wall. Well, if you click throught to image three, there's still a pumpkinβ¦

BΓΌdchen.

Evening walk in the rain.

Nerd.

The kids found a tiny snail.

We went to the circus today. Lumi trained the whole week with 80 other kids. She chose tightrope walking and plate spinning as her disciplines.
This marks 300 daily posts! I am in the process of finishing zines II and III. Will talk more about that soon. 66 days to go! πͺ

Triangle tree.

Watching the action going on in the football cage. Players a blindfolded and controlled from the outside by shouting instructions on where to move/when to shoot. Fun.

Another image from my early morning commute along Gruga.

Even more fall colors. Not my usual route, but definitly quite scenic in the morning.

Continuing with the fall colors.

Another Gruga visit. Feeding the goats at the petting zoo.
Almost missed today's post, because I was working away on improving my WordPress to Kirby export plugin. I think I am ready to move my other blog over to Kirby as well, so I need to make some changes that will cover regular pages as well as different post formats. It's coming along nicely. I hope I'll be able to release an updated β and much improved β version of the plugin soon.

Observing fall colors. Didn't do much today aside from going grocery shopping, during which I took the above photo. It is crazy to me that we are in late October already. Where did this year go?

Went to the swimming pool today. She's finally learning to swim.

Observing color. Always a fascinating spot to photograph.

The zines are here! π± Bought a special pen for signing earlier today. The rest of the envelopes for shipping will arrive tomorrow. If all goes to plan, everything should be out of the door on Friday at the latest. Thanks for your patience, I can't wait for you to get your hands on them.

Nice weather + fall break, so the girls and I spent a couple of hours at Gruga today. I've been using the 27mm more and more, mainly because I love the very compact pancake size. It is also pretty sharp. Maybe I am going to get used to 40mm (full frame equivalent) after allβ¦

We had a great weekend with the family. Took the photos above, while waiting for our train at Heidelberg main station. Now posting this from the train, which was on time. (Not kidding! I hope I didn't jinx the rest of the trip, now that I've said it. π)
The WordPress drama keeps intensifying by the day. I fear that the damage done will affect the community for years to come. What a shame.

Went to the fair today. It's called Kerwe in this part of Germany, whereas the term Kirmes is generally used. Cotten candy was had, as well as a couple of carousel rides. Kids are happy! π

Had a lovely time at WordCamp Karlsruhe today. No drama, just a friendly buch of community members. Thanks to everyone involved!

Waiting for our train at Essen main station. 20 minutes delay at the end of our trip was probably the least we had this whole year!
Heading to WordCamp Karlsruhe tomorrow. Really curious about the mood, with all the drama going on currently.

New perspective on A41, from the dentist's waiting room (through the window during heavy rain).

Observing shadows (while waiting for my connecting train at Duisburg main station). Took this on my way to the Kirby Community NRW Meetup organized by Benedict and Chris from Present Progressive. Thanks, guys! Impressive talk by Georg Obermayr about what he and his team built with Kirby.
In other news: I ordered the project 366 part I zines today! Thanks again to the eight people who ordered a copy! β€οΈ

Observing (lots of) color.
Sent out an email to the fine people, who subscribed to the newsletter, to tell them how to order the first 366 zine. At the time of this post, I received orders from Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Lithuania, Canada and the US. π± This is so cool! You all made my day! Thank you. π

1.000 trees for Essen.

Cutting it close today! (It's almost 24:00.) π¬
