Slow day, lots audio drama listening going on.
Ulya has been sick in bed for three days now. I held down the fort, but I can feel it coming. First symptoms started a couple of hours ago, and it develops exactly like with her three days ago. Better prepare some emergency images to post in the coming days, as I probably won't be able to make any. 😩
Waited for the rain to stop, then we went out to the play ground.

Bought a tent last year, but never got around to using it, so we finally put it up, and slept in the backyard for two nights. 😂
Went to a birthday party on a farm yesterday. Had a lovely time. Also: Beautiful location. This was the view from behind the barn.

While they usually hide somewhere in the background of their enclosure, the snow owls presented themselves very openly today. We pass them everyday on our way to Lumi's favorite jungle gym in Gruga park. I should have brought a longer lens!
We got her guitar today as part of "JeKits", which is a school program that allows every child to learn an instrument. Instruments are provided for free for the time of the course. A whole of them are waiting to be picked up in the store.

We started playing Yahtzee – now that counting & calculating up to 3-digits is mastered. 🎲

Another day, another visit to Gruga. The ophthalmologist has prescribed Lumi spending at least an hour outside during mid-day, to relax her (growing) eyes, as a means to preventing myopia from getting worse. So that's what we are doing every day.

She's hasn't been feeling so well the last couple of days (came down with a cold), so we thought a short trip to get some fresh air might help and lighten the mood. I think it did!
Spent a couple of hours in Gruga, moving beneath the trees, staying in the shade as much as possible.
Final vacation day, tomorrow it's back to work.
Went to the garden center to get some plants for the backyard. (Never saw the sign hanging from the ceiling, when I took the picture…)

The girls and I visited the Heissiwald deer park today. We were quite lucky, as this handsome fella was chilling right behind the fence.

The old brewery across my parents' house. I think I've never actually taken a photo of it. It has been empty for many years – the brewing kettles were sold a long time ago after the brewery shut down.

Had a very nice dinner at an Eritrean restaurant with my wife today, and then we took a short walk along the Neckar river in Heidelberg, while the kids stayed with the grandparents.
