Fiery sunrise. This must be some kind of record for the earliest post. Love when I am done that early – especially with a picture that I am very happy with – rather than to scramble to post something at 11 pm. 🙂

On my way home from Frankfurt. Lots of walking and talking with Claudio. Looking forward to going back to work on Monday! In find these in-person meet-ups essential and we definitely need to do this more often. And, maybe next time, we will finally not forget to make new team photos. 🙈

In Frankfurt with Claudio for our end-of-year Haptiq meet-up.
It is no secret that I am very apprehensive when it comes to LLMs. However, earlier today Claudio showed me some very cool stuff, he has built with the help of – his almost namesake – Claude. So I caved in and created an account to try it myself. 🫣 I mean, it surely can help with simple tasks, no? So: The alt text for the image above was created entirely by Claude and I think, it did an amazing job.

I can't believe it took us almost nine months (!) to get to Back to the Future Part II. I also didn't remember that part two and three were filmed back-to-back. They even showed previews of the third movie at the end of this one. Given our current trajectory we'll watch #3 in August 2025. 🙈

This is Ferdi. He played some Johnny Cash and Elvis and had a great voice, too. From our short conversation I learned that this is how he earns his living. In these situtations I always try to stop and listen for a couple of minutes (if I like the music). This makes it less awkward for other people to also stop and listen. 😊

What a strange day. I feel kind of anxious. Didn't dare to open Mastodon (which is the only social media I consume). I'll just share a link to this post and that's it. The feeling of anxiety is probably compounded by the fact that I won't see my kids for two days, because – and this, on the other hand, is a very happy occastion – I made my way to Berlin to once more document beyond tellerrand, which will happen tomorrow and the day after. (There are still tickets available!) Anyways, the hotel is very pink.

Early morning – and very cold – walk. One of Gruga entrances lies conveniently on my way home after dropping off the kids, so if the weather is nice, I try to get a walk in early, with the added benefit of being able to take some photos.

Perfect fall weather today. Lumi wanted to take pictures of the deer in Gruga park, so we packed the long lens. Unfortunately the enclosure was closed due to deer mating season. So we pivoted towards owls. 🙂

Spent a couple of hours outside with the girls today. We even saw a huge flock of migrating birds, though very far away. (A bit too far for my 50mm equivalent lens.)
