As a T1 Diabetic who's unable to use an insulin pump (because there are no #accessible ones available), the possibility of a gene therapy injection once every few years instead of an insulin injection once every couple of hours, is mighty interesting.

It's been quite the weekend... the oven stopped working, the new exercise bike turned up, there are now Basil and Thyme seeds in the hydroponics thingy in the kitchen, PerlBod excavated several layers of his tShirt drawer, Sunday lunch with family (including the aforementioned Yorkshire apple pie with Wensleydale cheese), and a good chunk of my next conference talk (for All Day Hey!) is in much better shape than it was a few days ago! Oh, and the sun's out 😎
Today I was introduced to the traditional Yorkshire apple pie made with Wensleydale cheese. Oh. My. Goodness. I need to lie down and not eat again until Thursday 😊 😋

It seems that GAIN (formerly Nomensa) and TPGi have decided to remove all the posts I wrote on their respective blogs, going back to 2002.
The Internet Archive Way Back Machine is not the most accessible thing to use, so if anyone has any bright ideas about how I could retreve the contents so I can republish, I'd be glad to hear them.

Spent the afternoon creating IFTTT applets and a Windows script to detect when I'm in a Zoom/Teams call and toggle my old radio style "On air" lamp on my desk on/off accordingly, so PerlBod knows when I'm in a meeting or not 🎤 😊

We tried resetting the pwd just in case but this hasn't resulted in the expected email. Wondering if something might be amiss with the instance?
When I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in the early 80s it took about a month before they figured it out. There were several misdiagnoses along the way, and even the accusation I was "pulling a sickie". Fortunately it wasn't an acute case at that stage and I'm hear to tell the tale.
Somehow I thought things might have improved in the intervening decades, but it seems not always so:
