I vibe-coded a mobile camera web app, because I miss the old days when mobile photography was such a great creative field. Surprisingly the Snapseed app is still around, so I used it for additional layering. #photography #design

I used my post from last week as my first proper test of POSSE-style publishing. A long form text on my digital garden first, then a link post on this microblog, then cross-posted to Bluesky and Mastodon. Here is how it went: https://knot.tilman.me/post/posse-the-first-try/

Platformer Game Jam 2026:

Only three of 16 design students had used a game engine before. Three days later they'd shipped ten platformer games — all playable in your browser, built on Godot + WebAssembly.

Reactivating https://knot.tilman.me for microblogging!

Ooops, wrong account.

Trying https://phanpy.social to post something on my blog.tilman.me. Does that work? Let’s be bold and also attach an image!

Trying out openvibe, a new mobile app for all decentralized social networks: https://openvibe.social

It was pleasure to talk to Sarper Yurtseven at the Day of Mathematics Istanbul yesterday! We talked about my Geometry Daily graphics, my process, inspirations and – or course – geometry. The 45 minutes were recorded and are available on YouTube: https://youtube.com/watch?v=MHp5UOlms-4*

Sarper tried to recreate one of my graphics with generative AI. The results are super interesting and surprisingly three-dimensional: https://youtu.be/MHp5UOlms-4?list=PL7DHNy6n7rOjTTkRtrxbOL7OAVRk4_59O&t=2971*

The team of the Mathematics Day Istanbul (!!) asked me to give an interview about my graphic work on geometrydaily.com tomorrow. It’s streaming live, so tune in on 11.00 CET: youtube.com/MatematikTurkiye. I don’t know if there will be a recording afterwards. Unfortunately the rest of the online event is in Turkish of course …

Our Digital Lab gets a fresh outfit. Ugly computer lab ➔ fancy co-working space!

In Mastodon, if you write more, you get more attention. My feed is full of the same 5 people and the toots of very interesting people get lost in the noise. Is this not what we wanted to leave behind?

Do we need algorithms to sort it out for us? How could we implement them, control them and keep them transparent? Is this something the server hosts should decide, or every user for themselves?

Best Christmas song ever. (Yes, it’s Last Christmas, but in the best way possible.)
