A blog where Florian tries to post one photo per day.

Update on the wayside plant.

Rainy day. Photo during a grocery run.

Didn't get to shoot much today, in fact I only got this one shot when leaving the office.

Observing color.

Very slow day today. (Which was good!) Suvi and I headed to the backyard for a while, where she practiced some tricks on the trampoline.
Almost forgot: This already marks the halfway point for the 366 project, which I started on January 1st. Feels like yesterday!

The owners changed the name of the dog to „Tiny“, which I do not find as original as the… well… original name of „Anne-Gret“. But hey. The kids really enjoy their time with her, no matter what her name is.
In other news, Daniel is currently having a great run with his monthly photo journal entries. We met in person for the first time last year at beyond tellerrand in Düsseldorf, so there is two photos of me in his most recent post. Thanks, Daniel!

Half of our urban district is shut down because of the Nazi party’s federal party convent, which is happening in Essen over the weekend. So, this sticker right across from the venue is 💯.

Jacobaea vulgaris, growing by the wayside. I pass this particular plant every day on my way to the office, and by now it is almost as tall as I am. My wife just told me that it is poisonous and with its bright yellow petals sometimes mistaken for Hypericum, which is considered a medical plant. There you go!

A couple of weeks ago, I found a (tiny) wasp nest under the roof in the attic (where we usually hang our laundry to dry). After asking a friend who is a bee keeper (and knowledgable about this stuff), we made sure the nest was abandoned, then took it down this morning. We carefully cut it open to let the kids take a look inside. It has a beautiful structure and is amazingly light weight.

Had this beautiful little camera in a drawer for a couple of months now, and loaded it up for the first time today. Just felt like using it and took a couple of images of my daughters outside. It is super light weight, and while I much prefer the Leica's focus patch (probably because I am so used to it), the Olympus OM-1's microprism focusing screen works quite well. At least I hope so. It will take some time until I have the results.

Heavy rain flooded the backyard. We obviously had to check it out.

Took out a longer lens than usual for this latest A41 shot.

Playing inside a cardboard box. Still a favorite, for all ages.

Cutting down the Christmas tree. We actually found this little tree, pot and all, after Christmas, brought it home. But then it died on our balcony, unfortunately. Image from a couple of days ago.

Waves.

Finally made it to the lookout, which grants a very nice view across the Sechs-Seen-Platte in Duisburg.

Spent lots of time outside today. Got lots of work done around the house. Pretty good day. 🙂

Playground time. Going round and round on that spinny thing.

Quick trip to the citizen center today to pick up the girls' new passports.

The backyard is a sea of blossoms.

Spring is finally upon us.

Quick visit to Gruga park after kindergarten.

Enjoying the nice weather as Easter holidays come to a close.

Tattoo artists in the making.

Long time, no A41 image. So here you go!

Short afternoon walk and I brought my camera.
These "Fratze" stickers are all over the place. I even found the artist's Instagram account.

Finally made it out of the house today. Went grocery shopping, didn't bring the camera – so you get a view of the office window out to the backyard.
