A blog where Florian tries to post one photo per day.

We had the first ice cream of the year today. Enjoyed being outside with the family.

Who says I can't post twice a day? π Enjoyed the warm weather outside with the kids. And I like the images I took of them climbing a jungle gym.

It's not even eight, and I already got today's shot in. π Have a great weekend everyone!

Funny how sometimes the subject reminds me of an image I took years ago.

Observing color in the evening light. A kinda logical way to follow up on yesterday's morning light.
I recently asked for you to share your 365 photography projects. I made a list from the suggestions. I'd love to add more, so please et me know of other 365 projects. Thanks!

Observing color in the morning light. Love these early morning Gruga walks, when nobody is around. It was freezingly cold, but the light was nice! Still feeling the colorβ¦ π€·ββοΈ
I also made these particular images with the rule of thirds in mind as part of the first #TheCompoChallenge.

A couple more Parkleuchten photos. This time a set of rather unobvious (as in "not the main attraction") shots from off the path.

Yesterday we visited Parkleuchten at Gruga park with Daniel and his family. It was very cold and late (obviously), so half of my family had cut the visit short and head home early. Lumi and I went on to see all of the installations. We ended the day with a nice, hot chocolate at home.

Went to see Parkleuchten in Gruga today. Only sharing this one image today, more tomorrow! (Tired, need sleep.)

Observing color.

Math homework.
YiΔit has written a lovely post about how I inspired him to start his photo blog. (Very kind of you! π) He's also doing a 365 project, so you should defiintely subscribe!
I signed for Hiro's Photo Composition challenge. Sounds fun and maybe I can start getting in the groove for some "themed series".

The 27 is back! (Finally!) The auto focus motor was broken. Fujifilm service wasn't able to tell me how that could have happened, but they fixed it. Out of warrenty this cost me EUR 100, ~10 for the motor, 75 for the labor + tax. Cheaper than buying a new lens I guess. π€·ββοΈ Ah, and I took the photo above in the changing room earlier today, when we went swimming again. Only image I have from today, oh wellβ¦

The kids found lots of treasures in Anneanne's basement the other day, like these binoculars. We had to break the lock because the key was lost, so we haven't been in there for over a year! π

The moon was out during my evening walk. Usually I do not crop this much, but I kinda like the tree branches framing the moon.

Family trip to the to the swimming pool this morning, to practice. For Lumi it's just a question of courage at this point. She actually knows how to swim, but still wants me to hold her β although I am pretending most of the time. π€« She reminds me so much of myself at this age: All my friends could swim before me. I hated to get my head under water and I think I was twelve, when I first started diving. Now I love being in the water, even got a diving license. I figure it will take one or two more visits until she's ready to admit to herself that she can swim. π (I love watching this process btw, very similar to when she learned to ride a bike. I am just there to assist, while she basically figures it out herself.)

Quick trip to the city center today to get some swimming gear. Lumi will have swimming as part of phys ed at school starting in a couple of weeks. She's not really thrilled about itβ¦

Turns out going back to university requires lots of documents and trips to various places to get all of those documents. Today one of those runs tooks us across the rural parts of Essen, where I saw this wind turbine in the mist. I should have stopped on the way there, because when we drove back, most of the fog had already disappeared. Still like the minimalistic look of it all.

Second batch of photographs from yesterday's trip to Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord with Daniel. There will be couple more. π
I published a January recap post on my other blog.

Met up with Daniel for an afternoon of taking photographs at the Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord. It's one of those places where you can come back infinite times and still shoot something you haven't before. Suffice to say that I have a lot of images and will share some more over the next few days. Opted for color for this first post, becauseβ¦ well just look at the quality of the later afternoon light! π

A41, behind some trees. If everything works out as planed, I'll be heading to Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord tomorrow to photograph. π€ It's been quite a while since my last visit.

I set some new rules for this blog today. Let's see how it works out!

Observing color. The lamp is now wrapped for some reason.
Totally forgot to mention it, probably because I didn't take a single photograph yesterday π: I sent out the final batch of Project 366 zines! (At least one has already gotten to its desitination.)

Lining up for the reflection portrait. We love coming back to this spot after heavy rain, although only one of us was dressed properly for the occasion. π

Who says you can't enjoy a walk in the rain? We were outside for quite a while and even made it to the shop to got some envelopes for shipping the zines.
I did some local testing and decided to install the Kirby 5 beta, because dark mode! π₯ Since I mostly work on these posts when it is already dark outside, it makes for a more enjoyable experience. Everything seems to be working as expected, even the Kirby Photo Stats plugin.

From today's commute β on foot. The bike is still at the shop. It'll be ready for pickup tomorrow.
