Different playground today, gotta mix it up once in a while.

Another day, another visit to Gruga. The ophthalmologist has prescribed Lumi spending at least an hour outside during mid-day, to relax her (growing) eyes, as a means to preventing myopia from getting worse. So that's what we are doing every day.

Walking home in the rain.

She's hasn't been feeling so well the last couple of days (came down with a cold), so we thought a short trip to get some fresh air might help and lighten the mood. I think it did!

Spent a couple of hours in Gruga, moving beneath the trees, staying in the shade as much as possible.

Final vacation day, tomorrow it's back to work.

Went to the garden center to get some plants for the backyard. (Never saw the sign hanging from the ceiling, when I took the picture…)

Morning walk in the park.
I recently stumbled upon the idea to have a link to a random post on the blog, which I like very much. So, now you can click on "Random" in the footer to get to, well… a random post – or you can hit the R key on your keyboard. ✨

The girls and I visited the Heissiwald deer park today. We were quite lucky, as this handsome fella was chilling right behind the fence.

Evening bike ride.

On our way home.

The old brewery across my parents' house. I think I've never actually taken a photo of it. It has been empty for many years – the brewing kettles were sold a long time ago after the brewery shut down.

Poppin' balloons.

Had a very nice dinner at an Eritrean restaurant with my wife today, and then we took a short walk along the Neckar river in Heidelberg, while the kids stayed with the grandparents.

Amazing weather today. Spent half the day at the swimming pool. Had some great Vietnamese food for diner.

Playing Animal Crossing during our train ride to the grandparents. She didn't mind Deutsche Bahn being late.

Observing color.

The playground was all ours today.

Walked past the flea market today. With kids this is dangerous territory, because they always find some toy they really like, and how can you say no to something that's just a Euro? But then again, that's one more toy lying around in the house. I am looking forward to the day, they themselves are ready to sell off their old stuff and I can go back to a more minimalistic life style. (I am well aware that this might never happen as long as we live under the same roof…) In the meantime I cherish the memory of living out of a backpack.

Went to the fair today. Brought 20 Euro to spend, and it went fast: One serving of french fries, ride on the chairoplane for the whole family and bumper cars for the girls.

Feeling kind of uninspired in the last few days. I'd probably have skipped today (and yesterday), if it wasn't for the 366 project. I'll be off work for two weeks, and have all these ideas, what to do during this time, but I guess I need to unwind for a bit first. We'll be visiting my parents next week, which I am very looking forward to. Plus having a change of scenery is always good for inspiration.

Construction going on across from A41.

Observing light and shadow.

Met this tiny little frog during a walk through the woods earlier today.

It seems I have never looked up, when leaving the office. Otherwise I would have spotted this interesting looking lamp a long time ago.

Really start to feel like old times when going out on my inline skates. Did a short excursion today with the girls on their bikes. Went to the fairgrounds near Gruga, where they are already setting up for the summer fair.

Spend some time in the backyard today.

Took a longer lens especially for walking past A41 today. It is getting hard to find interesting angles with my regular 35 or 50mm.

Update on the wayside plant.
