Does anyone know if there's a problem with the a11y.social Masto instance? Keep getting "We're sorry, but something went wrong on our end" errors messages when trying to log into the @TetraLogical account. Pinged @community for help but no reply yet. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
Hello @community, we're getting a "This page is not correct" error when logging into @TetraLogical account. Any ideas?
We tried resetting the pwd just in case but this hasn't resulted in the expected email. Wondering if something might be amiss with the instance?
When I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in the early 80s it took about a month before they figured it out. There were several misdiagnoses along the way, and even the accusation I was "pulling a sickie". Fortunately it wasn't an acute case at that stage and I'm hear to tell the tale.
Somehow I thought things might have improved in the intervening decades, but it seems not always so:

We've just added tags to the @TetraLogical blog, so now it's possible to point to things like all the posts in our Foundations series:

From the 17 January edition of The Week:
"The US Consumer Product Safety Commission keeps a database of the various items that people in America have got stuck in their rectums. The most recent
data shows that about 4,000 people (average age: 43) seek hospital treatment for such mishaps per year. Among the items recorded were beard clippers, a sandal, uncooked pasta, a dog chew toy, an egg, a turkey baster, a pair of glasses and a shampoo bottle."
The mind is not the only thing that boggles 😂

Elon Musk defends Grok feature that generates images of women and children stripped of their clothes (and much worse):

#Musk is beneath contempt and apparently quite stupid too.
Dear Amazon, if you're going to use AI enhanced synthetic speech for Audio Description on your Prime TV series, the least you can do is check it for pronunciation quality. The voice being realistic isn't enough.
In Talamasca: The Secret Order, AD mispronunciations include "Surré" instead of "Surrey", "alyus" instead of "alias", and "one hundreds" instead of "hundreds".

Type 5: insulin resistance/collapse due to malnutrition, most often in childhood
The @TetraLogical team has gathered (online) for a day of retrospectives, updates, and opportunities to continue innovating what we do and the services we offer, plus a Christmas quiz to wrap it all up.
There might also be a selection of Christmas hats on display, and there's a rumour going around that my hat might not be black! 😊
Listening to the news, you'd think we were being invaded by people arriving in small boats...
It's actually 40,652 people in 2025.

In Aug, the UK Gov announced a £100m investment to "tackle people smuggling gangs".

That's basically £250k per person who arrives on a small boat.

@nolan Just reading your post on the <time> element. I agree with your general assertion, but I'm curious how you're thinking a screen reader might handle the element if it were exposed in the acc tree?

Tom Stoppard #RIP
The improbability of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead and the way scenes from Hamlet are woven into the narrative, captivated me the first time I read it, and made me a Stoppard fan for life.
