Today I watched my old flat get blown to pieces. Absolutely gutted. I'll piece together a longer video with some of my photos taken in and around the Wyndford over the years at a later date, but here's the big come down for now.

Mary McCartney is a world-renowned portrait and fine-art photographer. As a leading British creative, her visual practice is deep rooted in her passion for impactful storytelling.
Mary’s journey began with Leica when her mother gifted her a Leica R7. She shared, “I have favoured Leica ever since. When I pick up a Leica, it makes me feel just that little bit more inspired. I love the lenses and the classic, no-fuss design. And the sound of the shutter release button when I press it down is like nothing else, so satisfying. It makes me feel at home.”

Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award 2024 Winner - Maria Guțu "Homeland"
We are pleased to announce that Maria Guțu is the winner of the Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award 2024. The Moldovan photographer’s series, Homeland, draws from her personal experiences of growing up with her grandparents, while her parents, like many in her homeland, had to move abroad for economic reasons. Her work reflects on the themes of roots and home in the context of a country where nearly a quarter of the population has left in the past two decades.
