It’s a space movie. I like space movies. But this is not the best of its genre IMHO. I can’t complain about how it’s made, really. I definitely enjoyed the acting and most of the visuals and sets.
Rocky is very cute and I like how their friendship develops. I found the flashbacks on Earth were a bit too silly. And this could have been shorter. So, this is definitely more on the “light entertainment” side of space movies. I guess I generally prefer my space movies more doomy and gloomy instead.
But was ok overall.

My thanks to WorkOS for sponsoring this last week, once again, at DF.
SSO is table stakes for enterprise deals, but building it into your app yourself means writing SAML controllers, parsing XML assertions, and handling IdP-specific quirks for each provider. Learn how SAML flows work, the tradeoffs between building or buying, and best practices for security, routing, and UX.
Or, skip the hassle and add SSO with WorkOS. Read their developer’s guide to learn more — everything from how SSO works to why WorkOS is the fastest way to add it.

Museum: Rex's Dino Store
Located just before the turnstiles in the Grand Army Plaza subway station at the north end of Brooklyn's Prospect Park is this former newsstand which is now operated by a dinosaur.
The density of dinosaur puns is exceptional.

A lovingly made animated film. Not only is Mr. Fox fantastic - everyone is. And so is the story, the sets, the music. And as typical for Mr. Anderson, it sometimes difficult to appreciate all those little details during the first viewing.

Is American Culture Simply Bad Now? I’ve been hanging with my friend Matt while he’s here in Tokyo for a trip, which he refers to as his “America is Cooked Tour” as he keeps running across things that are much better here.
Back in 2005, a group of restorers established a hidden workshop in Paris’s Panthéon and snuck into the building for a whole year to repair an antique clock. “The group managed to connect the hideaway to the electricity grid and install a computer…” Wild!
