I used to have time to make adorable dog-, heart-, or poop-shaped pancakes. But now that the kids have reached a reasonable size, they’re eating so fast that I. Need. To. Keep. Them. Pancakes. Coming. 😅

Buying just another cheap plastic Amaran light didn't feel right and I also didn't want to spend a fortune for a “real” Aputure light. So I went with the Godox LE300Bi. Seems like the best budget COB LED light at the moment. A really solid metal enclosure, bi-colour 2800–6500K with decent color accuracy, app-controlled, and with an acceptable noise floor. Should be a much better light overall. 🤞

When I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in the early 80s it took about a month before they figured it out. There were several misdiagnoses along the way, and even the accusation I was "pulling a sickie". Fortunately it wasn't an acute case at that stage and I'm hear to tell the tale.
Somehow I thought things might have improved in the intervening decades, but it seems not always so:

After (only?) about 5 years, my Amaran 200d led light suddenly went dark. I ordered a replacement power adapter but that didn’t solve the issue. 😔 Any recommendations for a light that lasts a tad longer?
