Last week, I had the immense honor of speaking at one of my favorite events, @btconf. (🤯)
My talk “Painting With the Web” is now available on YouTube. I hope you like it! 🤗💚
And if you are a person who likes slides, here are the slides for the talk. 😁

Oh hai there! How goes it? This week I've been slowly sharing the different elements of the Beyond Tellerrand titles on my Insta and Bluesky, but I'm going to combine it all into one mega-BTS-blog here realllll soon. The excellent photographers from the event - Florian
Very much enjoyed this wonderful book by Olivia Laing https://uk.bookshop.org/p/books/the-garden-against-time-in-search-of-a-common-paradise-olivia-laing/7532817?aid=15386&ean=9781529066678& about our relationship with gardens, their often troubled history, how they are both selfish and selfless places and how time in a garden is more like a loop than it is linear. I’m lucky enough to have a garden and over the years it’s become a very special place.

Here's a bit more BTS of how I played the @beyondtellerrand.com titles [b&w photos by @florianziegler.com]: My Teenage Engineering OP-Z (complete with LEGO surround, for no other reason than I love building silly stuff with bricks) sequencer is sending MIDI signals into Unity on my Mac...
You know what coffee shop? I don’t want to be nagged about whether or not I liked my experience of buying a coffee via email literally every time I buy a coffee. Or maybe just ‘never’. Your barista will know because I tip them for their lovely attention to their craft.

Big thanks to @normanposselt.bsky.social for shooting my portrait at @beyondtellerrand.com! 👁️✋ [contains quote post or other embedded content]
Yes I still have business cards and yes they are unique and generative.
A big fun part of creating the @beyondtellerrand.com titles was sampling my friends and families voices for the names of the different speakers! I ran them through different FX in Ableton, and then loaded them onto the OP-Z so I could integrate them into the music!
Some beautiful photos by @florianziegler.com from @beyondtellerrand.com last week. Thanks Florian! This was a new and very different kind of talk for me, and he captured it beautifully

Here’s my title sequence for the @beyondtellerrand.com conference! I ‘played’ them live - Designed in Illustrator, split into PNGs, imported into Unity where their size & position is controlled by MIDI signals from the OP-Z that I’m playing on-stage. I made a unique beat for each speaker… [1/2]

An incredibly thorough and important post by @SaraSoueidan about the current state of CSS carousel (in)accessibility. 👏
tl;dr – don’t use them (yet?)
