After a discussion with Joel and James, the latter had a bright idea. Guess what? Yet another fun blogging questions challenge. This one, as the title suggests, is about food.

I got kinda sorta nerd-sniped into joining the weeknote throng. So here goes.
Today in rolling my eyes while reading:
🙄 “He had a PhD in corporate courage development”
Pink flowers, flame red trees. Yellows and greens. Layers of colour, worthy of being a Fresco (or is Nature so beautiful that a Fresco would limit its expression?). Autumn is especially pretty today. Colour around every corner. A faint cold chill caresses my hands. The colours of the trees warm me up.
I am enjoying the music and the birdsong and the colours. What makes Nature beautiful is not an individual leaf or tree but the collective of all, and the forces that bind all together. We are in constant dialogue with Nature — we weave past and through and with its forces. It’s nice to hear the voices of people — the joy of talking while waiting; of the presence of others.
Writing stories. Sharing things that make me smile. Reading knowledge people have shared openly. Communities that organise knowledge. Project Gutenberg. New music by my favourite artists. Acoustic songs. The spark of “I should learn this on the piano!”. All the people who make events happen. (related) Attending events where I learn something new. Seeing people’s curiosity shine through. Learning about art. Having my mind opened by art. Discovering a new personal website that someone has lovingly crafted. Bookshops. Talking with friends. Dreaming. Sitting with a new idea.
It being a perfect autumnal morning, with warm sunshine, blue skies, and just a touch of freshness in the air, we took ourselves off to the Terme di Caracalla for a Cultural Quickie®. The primary purpose was an exhibit of photos by Frank Horvat but the ruins of the baths are themselves always worth a visit.

What made you happy today? asks Catch a Bird. I love this question, and the website. For the last five minutes or so, I have been both answering the aforementioned question, and trying my best to make some people smile. Here are a selection of my answers to the question:
Trying 100% dark chocolate for the first time. Playing the guitar. Singing my heart out. The joy of autumn. Have a wonderful day :) Taylor Swift! Seeing two cats while wandering the neighbourhood. You’re an amazing human :)
I love technology that can highlight the best of us; technology that brings us together.
To you, dear reader, I hope you have a wonderful day.

Further to the idea that the colonist settlers of New England allowed their prejudices to blind them to reality, I offer their misidentification of domesticated dogs as wild wolves.

I genuinely enjoyed being part of Head in the Cloud by mittwald this year. Now they released the video of my talk (it’s in German, sorry), which was titled “Weniger Slides. Mehr Austausch.” (something like “Fewer slides. More interaction.”).
Next to this, I gave a couple of interviews. One of them dealt with the how people these days see events and what is important for them. I proposed that it could work to run an event with even fewer talks than at beyond tellerrand, but more tome to chat and have conversations.
Video by mittwald. As said: I had a lovely time in Espelkamp and heard many other people say the same. The vibe, the people, everything fit very well … and the weather did also ;)
I will be back.
