Hm. I probably expected something different from this movie. Both thematically and visually. It certainly has its good (and funny) scenes. The main character is very likeable. And the tongue in cheek references to slashers are good, too. But the story was weird and too meta for my tastes. And visually this was all over the place, and I was partly really turned off by the CGI and the kitschy landscapes. So, not quite my cup of blood.

When melancholia hits you hart, you’re done.

Absolutely love the depressing atmosphere in this movie. And what a scenario with another planet hitting earth!

Love the classic soundtrack. The space images are fantastic. The opening slo-mo sequences remind me of Crewdson photographs.

Part one might be a bit too long, but part two is absolutely perfect.

My whole Mac kept freezing during test runs. Menus, graphs, even switching Spaces.

Turned out pytest-xdist renames its worker processes before and after every test, and macOS did not cope well with that. Since I switched it off, the freezes haven't come back.

I have been using Musikcube (a terminal based music player) for a couple of weeks now, and I really like it! Completely keyboard based navigation and controls (although mouse clicks are supported too). It feels so simple and does not suggest any crap! Just my library of MP3s. I found it after looking for a simple music player for my Ubuntu machine, but I am now using it on the Mac as well.

Can’t wait to play Ocarina of Time again! Release date is November 5th 2026!

That’s not a movie for me. I really did not care about anything or anyone in this. The story is boring and it’s all pretty pointless. While some images are great, the dream-like sequences border on ugly. Then it has some short funny scenes weirdly inserted. The end At the Gates of Hel is just disappointing. I’m sorry.

Absolut wahnsinniges Buch über das und aus dem Bewusstsein einer Irren. Aber einer intelligenten Irren.

Ewige Gedankenabschweifungen und Erzählungen u.A.

MacOS is trolling other operating systems *so hard* in the network view. All the Macs look sleek and shiny, while every other machine shows up as a yellowed old CRT monitor with a Blue Screen of Death. 🤣🤣🤣

On the one hand it is frustrating when companies do stupid stuff and force you to look for alternatives, either through insane price hikes or inexcusable political decisions.

But it is a great opportunity to move to open source self-hosted solutions for everything.

Is it more work? Yes.
