It’s done - because of the loads of features I added in the last weeks (thanks to everybody who gave me feedback) it was necessary to redesign iFused from the architectural point of view and yes, I polished the UI a bit. I hope you all like it - I LOVE FEEDBACK.

Viel schlimmer noch: Sie sind fest entschlossen, es in Zukunft richtig zu machen und auf Sicherheit zu achten. Und müssen dann doch bei Ihren Kunden frustriert feststellen, dass der altbekannte Satz Security ist, wenn nix geht eben doch eine unumstößliche Tatsache zu sein scheint.

Fons Habes contributed a dutch translation. I’m working with Mohsen Khani on the Farsi (Iran) version. Matteo Spagnolo will do the italian … The image editing dialog has a “Save As…” now. Liming Xu, Leon Schuurbiers and Xavier Larrea posted a bug that occures if the UploadDirectory is outside of the current ApplicationDirectory - Fixed. Thanks guys.

Aus dotnet.tv wird .NET TV - Akzeptiert. Neues Format (wie es so schön heisst) - Super. Ein Logo (soll auch in irgendeiner Ecke erscheinen) - Wow. ABER … eins würd’ ich mir dann doch noch wünschen, damit ich mir .NET TV dann auch mit Tüte Chips, Popcorn und nem Bierchen zu gemüte führen kann … Wie stehts denn mit MUSIK … z.B. ner Titelmusik für den Anfang … es wird sich doch jemand finden der sowas für euch macht?

O.K. as you’ll see it’s been a long night for me - I added a lot of features to iFused and fixed the sign up bug. Unlimited Directory browsing (limited by the memory of your box ;-) ) Directorys are now displayed in the file browser frame and onclick the directory is displayed. The “move directory up” works with unlimited directorys (limited by the memory of your box ;-) Filelist is now a DataTable and no more a Hashtable - yeah that kicks performace and prepairs my next step the “Detail View” (including file size, image width x image height, date created, date last modified and movable XP styled tabs…).

I fixed a lot of layout bugs for my friends who use mozilla. The Uploaded image will now be selected after upload. The “directory up” button disables if you are in the highest directory. “Save in” is now translated to “Speichern in” (german).

I just released version 1.2 - go get it. FIX: Errors if the control is placed in a control. New Features: I just found out how to display all textboxes of the Form in the PropertyList [TypeConverter(typeof(ValidatedControlConverter))] public string ControlToFill ...

After loosing my job in 2001 caused by the troubles on a day in september I went back to a school (the Bergisches Kolleg in Wuppertal) again to get what we call “Abitur” in Germany. On the 21nd this month i finished the school part and now I work at the newtelligence A.G. for six month (I mentioned that something will happen) - the job part, in german called “Praktikum”. Usually it’s due is twelve month and you are the guy to serve coffee and carry around paper.

O.k. its done. I set up a new site on StaticDust.Net where you can download the Internet File Select and Upload Dialog. There are a few things i like to add to the component - so leave your e-mail address on downloading or keep reading my blog to stay up do date and to make sure that you always get the latest version. It would be nice if you send me some feedback and wishes.

I read the article about Todo-Driven-Development by Leon Bambrick just after i picked up a ZDNet article about the Todo-patent (US Patent No. 6,748,582) by Microsoft. I’ll keep wondering if the patent will influence the development process or vice versa.

I fixed the problem of displaing the icon of a file with uppercas exetnsion and store the information about allowed maxmal/total/minimal pixels for images and filesizes for upload in a session now. I fixed displaing image files that don’t fit the defined pixels in the browse window on the internet server. I finished my “Internet file select and upload Dialog”. A HttpHandler and a WebControl.

Wednesday i visited the DevDays 2004. I took the complete security track except from Joergs presentation. I really enjoyed it but it was sad that i could not see Christian Weyer and Ralf Westphal in action - next time. I also took some photos.
