Unionized CUNY professors joined a rally at City Hall against budget cuts,

Scores of adjunct professors at the City University of New York aren’t getting paid on time, CUNY officials acknowledged, in an ongoing problem that has frustrated the university’s part-time teaching workforce for several years.  Some CUNY adjuncts are owed sums north of $10,000.  “First paychecks don’t come through for a lot of people, and they’ve […]

About linkblog entries..

1. There has to be a way to edit the link, there are some sites that let you substitute a link that goes through their paywall. for that i need to be able to edit the link. wordland has this feature. look in its context menu.

2. Depending on the title to be linked to the thing the linkblog points to is not good. We don't know that it will have a title, titles are optional. So the right way to do it is to put it at the end of the text, skip a line, take the domain name, and have it link to the place the linkblog points to. Not sure if there are problems with this, but I do this in FL and it seems to work ok.

How Politics Affect Prison Life

A photo illustration shows speech bubbles appearing through the bars of an American flag.

One of The Marshall Project’s readers has spent more than 40 years incarcerated in a Washington state facility.
