Stewarded open source is not enough: who can cut you off?

Dries Buytaert split open source into license-only and stewarded. It's a useful distinction, but it misses a more dangerous one. Stewardship tells you whether someone cares for the code. It doesn't tell you whether that same someone can cut you off from it.
