The tokenmaxxing party is over, and Revenium is mopping up

A person in baggy off-white pants and an orange track jacket leans against a lime-green wall, tilting a half-full plastic cup of beer so it spills onto the pavement, leaving a large splash stain near their black Dr. Martens boots.

For the past 18 months, the corporate approach to artificial intelligence has been a gold rush. The mandate was simple:

It can be unnerving to write on the internet, to take what’s inside your mind, your heart, your deepest soul, and put it on the outside for other people to see. Possibly, the scariest part of writing publicly is the extent to which it makes you examine your own life and ask, “What’s interesting here?” […]

📽️ I’d been trying the other series and it really wasn’t working for me - so now watching the prequel because @dave said how much better it was. Jury out for this bear - but I did spend the first episode trying to spot Rhys Ifans and couldn’t. Apparently he’s changed a bit!

Angry Trump Storms Out of On-Air Interview For Unnervingly Dark Reason

Over the weekend, Donald Trump exploded during an on-air interview with NBC’s Kristen Welker. He called her “crooked” and “stupid” and abruptly ended the interview in a fury. This was ostensibly because she questioned his claims that California’s ongoing vote ...

Long day but really good day. Felt like it had a little bit of everything. Still coming down after that Spurs game, really good. Tomorrow need to unpack a little more of what I glossed over during the WWDC announcements.

Scripting News: Monday, June 8, 2026

Monday, June 8, 2026
Said to Claude just now -- btw, it's very good we're using the outliner back and forth. we're going to build on that.#
I can't convert scripting.com to https. If I moved the site to an https server, all the archives would break, and that's where the value of the site is, in the archives, where I've kept a history of the various things I've worked on. I'm still working on new stuff, but if this is all that was left to do, I'd move to the tropics and make pottery, I would not spend my last years on such an enormous stupid bullshit project. It's just not possible. But if you want to read the new stuff on my blog in https, you can. I have a mirror on a WordPress site. We even have the blogroll ported. #
Sometimes you write a post and when you're editing it you realize you no longer support what you wrote. This is one of those times. #

OpenAI announces draft S-1 in an oddly direct, brief blog post:

We recently submitted a confidential S-1. We expect it to leak so we’re just announcing it. We have not decided on timing yet; it may be a while because there are things we want to do that are likely easier as a private company.
