Ons Jabeur Is Making It Harder For The Tennis World To Ignore Palestine
For a population that increasingly spends their time and makes their money in the Arab world, tennis players have had almost nothing to say about Palestine. In that respect, they are like most professional athletes in 2026: silent on even the most obvious injustices, possibl...

Axios, Super Popular NPM Package, Was Compromised in Attack on the Module’s Maintainer

stepsecurity.io/blog/axios-compromised-on-npm-malicious-versions-drop-remote-access-trojan

StepSecurity: If you have installed axios@1.14.1 or axios@0.30.4, assume your system is compromised. There are zero lines of malicious code inside axios itself, and that’s exactly what makes this attack so dangerous. Both poisoned releases inject a fake dependency, plai...

BULLETIN: TRUMP FIRES BONDI, REIGNITING EPSTEIN COVER-UP - 4.2.26

omny.fm/shows/countdown-with-keith-olbermann/bulletin-trump-fires-bondi-reigniting-epstein-cover-up-4-2-26

BULLETIN: TRUMP FIRES ATTORNEY GENERAL - SEASON 4 EPISODE 75

Trump, who attacked Iran to distract from his cover-up of and culpability in the Epstein Files disaster (and the malfeasance of his Attorney General Pam Bondi in mishandling those files) has now fired Bondi in part to distract from his attack on Iran - thus refocusing the world's attention ON the Epstein Files.

Todd Blanche is the interim replacement, Lee Zeldin among the candidates for the permanent job, and a British newspaper reports the tipping point was Trump's rage that Bondi had not jailed any of Trump's democratic opponents. The Daily Mail also says he was furious Bondi seemed to have intervened in a plan to release the investigatory files on Congressman Eric Swalwell, even though Swalwell had been cleared by the FBI.

‘No, We’re Not Stupid. Our Dads Just Got Us Crummy Computers.’

reddit.com/r/VintageApple/comments/bq4ucw/mcintosh_jr_vintage_apple_parody/

Back in March 1991, Saturday Night Live ran what I consider the best Apple parody ad ever made: “McIntosh Jr.” Siracusa and I talked about it on The Talk Show this week, celebrating Apple’s 50th anniversary, so I looked it up for the show notes. Alas, this appallingly low-re...

Looking over EmDash. I don’t like that they call it “the spiritual successor to WordPress”. Isn’t the spirit of WordPress from Matt Mullenweg’s vision of the project? Matt is very much still involved. Feels wrong for Cloudflare to frame it that way.

@wordpress/build, the next generation of WordPress plugin build tooling

@wordpress/build replaces webpack and Babel with esbuild, auto-generates your PHP script registration from package.json conventions, and requires zero config. It already builds all 100+ Gutenberg packages. The plan is for it to power @wordpress/scripts under the hood — so wp-scripts build stays the same, but gets faster and drops the hand-written PHP. The API is still open for input. This is what it does and where it needs your feedback.

Jason Snell on Covering Apple for 33 Years

macworld.com/article/3103792/thanks-for-the-wild-ride-apple-lets-keep-it-going.html

Jason Snell, writing at Macworld, regarding joining the staff at MacUser back in 1993:

But as amazing and revelatory as the Mac was for me as a writer and editor of print and online publications, I rapidly discovered that the Apple of the period was a mess. My first day as a full-time employee, a copy editor popped his head over the cubicle wall and asked me if I had heard anything about layoffs. Welcome to the media, kid.

The San Jose Sharks Keep Winning At The Last Possible Moment
It has been 2,500 days, give or take a week, since the San Jose Sharks last played a truly meaningful hockey game. That game was a series-ending 5-1 loss to St. Louis in the 2019 Western Conference Finals, and since then, the Sharks have been the worst team in the league bot...
