Bummer about Apple abandoning Clips. No surprise that they don’t have time for it, but it was a nice app that maybe could’ve been successful as part of someone’s indie business.
I’ve been very diligent lately about doing all work in a Git branch so it’s easy to let Codex run a quick sanity check on every change before it’s merged. Today has been a roller coaster, distracted, busy, but still took a few minutes to code and just pushed changes up without review like it’s 2007.

The Aces Made Their Season From The Muck
PHOENIX — Now they were just showing off, treating the crowd to an encore. Jackie Young zigged and zagged to the rim. Chelsea Gray’s strange-looking heaves swished in. NaLyssa Smith pulled down all the right boards. Jewell Loyd popped into open threes from screens. The universe can sometimes be indelicate with its symbolism: A’ja Wilson slid across the paint to block DeWanna Bonner. The ball spun in the air and fell on Bonner’s head. Through it all, the Las Vegas Aces led, and led, and led, and led.
With a 97-86 Game 4 win over the Mercury in Phoenix on Friday night, the Aces won their third WNBA championship in four years to finish a Finals sweep and an unthinkable in-season turnaround. After beginning the regular season 14-14, they finished it on a 16-game win streak. Including the postseason, they won 25 of their last 28 games.

How to save an animal shelter: “If you care about something just do it”
The municipal animal shelter in Huntington, West Virginia, was euthanizing 50 to 75 percent of the animals that came in because they didn’t have the funding or space to care for them. Enter Courtney Proctor Cross. She was named director of the shelter in August 2018, and through hard work and fundraising she transformed the shelter into a place of hope.

6 Best Carpet Cleaners (2025), Tested and Reviewed
Tackle stubborn stains, ground-in grime, and pesky pet hair with one of these WIRED-tested washers.
I'm narrating development work on my Daveverse site. If you're interested, that's where I've been while I'm shaking out core bugs in the new WordLand. These are the things I want to stay fixed and never have to screw with again. It does actually work that way in products that go through a shake-out process. Drummer and FeedLand both work pretty well. Sure there are bugs and things I wish worked differently, but I and a few other people use them as everyday tools. I'm trying to get WordLand with its timeline function to be that way. A bunch of new hookups via HTTP and Websockets.
