check-in two is all about accessibility (i'm really behind, but i've been busy on other stuff.) the main related change around here is that most of my pages now have a dark/light mode option.

i guess here is the problem with declaring myself "not really a blogger" where do i actually put everything?

i want to show you my work on webmentions, but do i write all about it here in the RSS feed? (this was just supposed to be an update feed, NOT A BLOG!) or do i write it on my original webmentions page? yeah, obviously, but my webmention revival is supposed to be for small web september so surely i should write about it there instead???

when i discovered the 100 questions for webmasters by MOUSEcky, i added to the bottom of my page a few links to other people who had also answered the questionnaire. the list grew and it grew, some people emailed me with their links, and i did a bit of my own searching. so today i can show you a list of 100 questions for webmasters ANSWERED BY 100 WEBMASTERS! (actually the current number is 102: that's 10,200 total answers!) and i'm in shock, amazing stuff!

i have to admit when i first started making a list of people who had answered the 100 questions for webmasters by MOUSEcky, i had no idea it would get this big and webmasters would still be emailing me months later with their links... my list now contains NINETY (that's nine-zero) web sites!

among some of the changes ive been trying around here is to break some of my content into smaller, stand-alone html files. so i wrote my own little js utility called loadexternalstuff.js and documented the whole process in my dev notes.

(hopefully someone someday will find these useful!)

i think i've finally done it! here is my response to the 100 Questions for Webmasters (originally by MOUSEcky.) only took me about six weeks to get through it, and even now i can think of plenty more i haven't said. oh well, it'll have to do for now.

i don't really understand what's happened, all i did was: register a domain, create an A record pointing to neocities, reconfigure neocities with the new domain... and suddenly my entire site has redirected to https://shens.world/ wtf :)

quite interesting fact: i named it /admin at first, but neocities wouldn't let me browse to it. must be a reserved name.

my latest artistic graphical project is to finally get around to making some new 88x31 buttons for my site. for some reason ive never been able to settle on a single, definitive button style so i think im going to keep my button project open as a sort of ongoing series. the new set of buttons was created by me using a sharpie marker, old photographs, and photopea. ive made a layered psd template so i can easily crank out design more buttons. check it all out on my new buttons page!
