Do you miss the rainbow Apple menu icon? I do -- it's why I use GeekTool to put it back :-) Do you also miss the sound effects from classic MacOS? Me, too! But until now, my only option was to fire up SheepShaver and fuck around there. With FruitMenu Redux and Xounds Redux I can live like it's 1999. I'll definitely be putting down my ~$20 as soon as I upgrade this damn machine to 27.

Finally came up with a use case for pastey. When I am robocoding over SSH, I can't paste images. Big boooo. But I can give it a URL to an image :-)

I've really been digging Shelv as a way to play music from my home server. Works great on the phone and the desktop, streams right from my Navidrome. Quite nice.

I hate computers so much. Only 10 minutes into the day, and already dealt with two bullshit problems.

• Volume control was not working on MacBook Pro laptop. Restarting the machine fixed the problem.
• Airfoil couldn't connect to a Satellite. Restarting Airfoil fixed the problem.

If that was the first 10 minutes, I imagine by the 4th hour I'll have put all of these cursed machines directly into the trash.

Maybe I'll switch back later, but for now I've jumped ship to #Waterfox because of all the #AI garbage coming to #Firefox. It's been about a week and I'm really loving it.
