On a recent trip, I got to talking with a young officer, newly commissioned from one of our military academies. He shared how Washington politics is impacting his choice to serve in the military. It's a conversation that’s stuck with me - and I want you to hear what he had to say.

This is the message I want to share with you before this Labor Day is over.

Gas and diesel just hit the highest prices ever for a Labor Day weekend - a direct result of this president’s decisions.

It doesn't have to be like this.

The 40-hour work week. The weekend itself. Lifesaving safety standards.

Organized labor has changed our country for the better.

This Labor Day, we recognize the achievements of our unions and the workers who make the American way of life possible.

Thank you to the Ohioans who spent their Labor Day Sunday with me and Mayor Aftab Pureval! I enjoyed getting to meet you all in Cincinnati — and I was energized to see a crowd so fired up to fix our broken political system and elect strong leaders this November.

There is no place for political violence in our country.

I’m grateful that Amy Acton is safe and thankful for the law enforcement officers who acted swiftly today.

Attacks like this cannot just be the price you pay for running for office. This must never become normal.

Gloria Steinem was an icon and a trailblazer. Her advocacy - from championing reproductive freedom, to fighting for workplace fairness - moved our country forward. All of us can and should draw on her legacy of leadership and advocacy to strive towards making America a better place.

Republicans promised to "drain the swamp." Then they gave us an all-time high tide of Washington corruption, while the only thing they've drained is the Reflecting Pool.

President Trump tried to kill the single biggest transportation project in America — the Hudson Tunnel project — for nakedly political reasons, eliminating tens of thousands of jobs.

There will not be another like the Queen of Country, Dolly Parton. Her music spoke to millions across generations, including in our family.

It was great meeting so many voters in Detroit and seeing the energy behind the coalition that will win this November.

Republicans are losing because they can't run on their record.

They can't run on covering up the Epstein files.
They can't run on cutting Medicaid.
They can't run on stripping SNAP or imposing tariffs.

Americans see what is happening - and we are hungry for change.

Whether it's a trade war with Canada or an actual war with Iran, the pattern is the same: Americans are paying the price for the President's choices.

Mortgage rates are way up. Home construction is down. Rents are astronomical. All of this is worse since Trump took power, because of the tariffs and the Iran War.

Our service members are paying the heaviest price for Trump’s new Middle East war. The very least he can do as Commander-in-Chief is support them, not insult them.

Most of us actually agree on the biggest things we must do to make life better in this country - despite what the people in power right now want you to believe.

The stakes are high this November - and people from across the country are watching to see if we'll come together to win. I know we will.

The fact that the system is broken is so obvious that it has become a cliché when politicians say it. So why aren't we taking the necessary big swings to fix it?

So much depends on the idea of belonging.

Wherever you sit in this big tent of ours, remember just how much we agree on - with each other, and with a strong majority of voters.

This is our moment to pull together and build a strong coalition that can win, govern, and deliver a better everyday life in America.

The U.S. economy is officially losing jobs. From lost manufacturing to higher costs, the economic failures of the Trump administration keep piling up. There’s no way to spin these dismal results, because Americans know they’re paying the price every day.
