We just wanted to say good morning! 💚

A win! A federal judge has ordered the White House to immediately restore the press credentials of CNN, MS NOW, and POLITICO reporters after Trump barred the outlets from the White House. The temporary order lasts 14 days while the lawsuit moves forward.

POLITICO exposed Vice President JD Vance as the leaker behind one of the stories the White House later cited to justify banning the outlet from White House grounds. So either they planted these stories and then used them as an excuse to ban the outlets reporting them, or it’s MAGA targeting MAGA.

Eight U.S. Navy sailors assigned to the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group attempted suicide during its extended deployment, according to a letter from acting Navy Secretary Hung Cao obtained by CNN. None died.

It appears whenever Trump runs into resistance, “national security” becomes the justification. His ballroom. His triumphal arch. And now, banning news outlets from the White House.

💯

We just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all the compliments on our tumblers! 💚 We also want to apologize for how long they’ve taken to get out. This is the first time we’ve ever done something like this, and it ended up taking a little longer than we expected.

ProPublica dropped the first story in a new series on corruption in Congress, and it starts with Sen. Susan Collins. A defense contractor illegally funneled $150,000 to a pro-Collins PAC. The company’s CEO later pleaded guilty to unlawful campaign contributions.

Trump has launched state propaganda on the White House website called Trump TV, a 24/7 stream on YouTube. It’s something done in most authoritarian governments around the world.

A huge thank you to CNN, MS NOW, Politico, ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, Fox News, PBS News, NPR, The New York Times, The Washington Post, HuffPost, the Associated Press, Reuters, Getty Images, and AFP for standing together in defense of a free press.

Lol 😂 He thinks it’s a privilege.

It’s just a constant back and forth. The 8th Circuit has now ruled that Missouri should use the GOP-drawn 2025 congressional map for the November midterms, putting the federal appeals court at odds with the Missouri Supreme Court, which ordered the state to use its 2022 map.

Best moments of today. Trump’s war with the media doesn’t appear to be going quite as planned. First, he held a White House event where he could be seen speaking but nobody could hear what he was saying because the TV press pool wasn’t there to provide coverage.

A federal court has denied a request to halt the SpaceX land transfer. The Trump administration approved a deal giving SpaceX 715 acres of the Lower Rio Grande Valley National Wildlife Refuge in exchange for 683 acres of SpaceX-owned land.

CNN, Politico and MS NOW will file a joint lawsuit against the Trump administration after the White House revoked their journalists’ credentials and barred them from covering the White House. The outlets argue the ban violates their First Amendment rights and due process protections.

Alert ⚠️ An ICE officer shot 28-year-old Wilber Rafael Garces Perez in North Austin today after a traffic stop. He was shot in the torso and hospitalized in serious but stable condition. His attorney says Perez, a Venezuelan national, entered the U.S. legally and had a valid work permit.

Ohio’s only national forest is being opened back up to fracking. The federal government just leased oil and gas rights beneath nearly 2,800 acres of Wayne National Forest for about $11 million, the first competitive lease sale there since 2017.

It simply never ends. Fish and Wildlife Service Director Brian Nesvik issued new guidance interpreting the Endangered Species Act’s prohibition on “taking” endangered wildlife much more narrowly. Under the new interpretation, an action generally has to be intentionally

Bloomberg reports that officials directly involved in an internal Pentagon investigation found that Peter Thiel’s Palantir Maven Smart System played a significant role in the February 28 U.S. strike on the Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab, Iran.

Way to go California! California just closed another door on outside military deployments. Governor Gavin Newsom signed SB 1354, which blocks other states from sending their military forces into California without the Governor’s permission.

Fox News is now defending CNN, which is obviously the smart thing to do. Even they realize the tides always turn. They said, “Don’t ban them. Or one day, they’ll ban us.” The MAGA movement is really falling apart.

CNN, Politico, and MS NOW reporters have been denied access to the White House this morning.

Save the date! No Kings is October 17th. And don’t forget to vote early! 🗳️

Thank you all for stepping up for such a last-minute event at the Kennedy Center. We are so proud of all of you. 💚✊ Cheers 🍻 Raise a glass and let’s have another round tonight.

Huge turnout at the Kennedy Center tonight! 💚✊ Thank you!

Honestly, we never thought we’d feel bad for Mitch McConnell, but after seeing all the videos, it’s getting hard not to wonder if what we’re watching crosses a line into elder abuse.

Trump said that he is banning CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House, “effective immediately,” citing what he called their constant reporting of “FAKE NEWS” as the reason.

Reminder. 💚✊
