Saving your bookmarks or favorites to your computer is a quick way to access your favorite websites. If you reformat your computer or some other disaster strikes, you may loose all those important sites. Even if you access multiple computers or other devices, you won’t have the same bookmarks on each computer. A great way to ensure you have your content backed up is to use social bookmarking. By backing up your bookmarks or favorites to a social bookmarking site, like Delicious or Diigo, you will be able to access your saved information no matter what computer you are using. Keeping track of my business phone, my home phone, and my mobile phone can be nearly too much to handle. Thankfully, I got an early invite to Google Voice. And even better, yesterday Google Voice announced it was open to the public. The beauty of Google Voice is that you have just one phone number that you can use as your hub. Depending who is calling you, you can give them a specific voicemail greeting, forward the calls to specific phones, and receive a transcription of the entire message in your email.

Sharing photos online is a great way to engage others in conversation. But – should you share to Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Picasa, or somewhere else? The answer is: YES! I’m all in favor of sharing the same photos across multiple platforms at once. By doing so, you share the image with different connections, no matter where they are connecting with you. To make it easier, you can use Pixelpipe to send your photos to several places at once, even to your Facebook Fan Page.
A quick word of caution: upload just a few pictures at a time. Save those entire photo albums from your hiking trip for just one destination. Twitter users will only want to see one or two pictures at a time.
