U.S. Mint Is Selling Fake-Gold $1 Trump Coins For More Than $2 Each

It’s illegal to put the face of a living president on U.S. coins. But laws are no object for Make-Believe King and Real-Life Felon Donald Trump, especially when he has a scam to run. In this case, the scam is selling "$1 Trump Coins" with his face on the "collectible" coin. Trump and his posse of lickspittles seem to have skirted the law by dressing up the coins as a tribute to America's 250th birthday and putting his face on their front.
That doesn’t make the coins any less of a scam. Just like the Trump Watch scam, his Trump Phone scam, and Trump University, this latest scam is designed to rip off Trump’s own supporters.

Tarrant Co, Texas Just Voted To Close 92 Polling Stations For Midterms

Once again, Republicans are trying to win elections not by making constituents’ lives better but by rigging elections to stay in power. In this case, Texas’ Tarrant County commissioners voted to close 92 voting locations. That’s a roughly 30% reduction since the 2022 midterms.
It's easy to see why. “Historically a Republican stronghold, Tarrant County has emerged as a key battleground as voters narrowly supported Democratic candidates at the top of the statewide ballot in recent elections,” The Texas Tribune reported.
It also happens to be a crucial county for Democrats to win. Reporter Abby Livingston told MS Now Tuesday night, “It’s impossible for a Democrat to win Texas without winning Tarrant County.”

Hemingway's Old Man And The Sea Published

I came to this book later in life, but it still is wonderful.
On September 1, 1952, Life Magazine published the novella in its entirety and it sold over five million copies in just two days.
It was published as a novel in 1952 and won the coveted Pulitzer prize. He then won the Nobel Prize in literature in 1954.
His life ended sadly as pain and depression overtook him because of massive health issues and he committed suicide in 1961.
