Checking from iPhone. Seems to be working.

I think posting and replying from an iPhone is broken. I’ll try again and gather more details if I can.

“Hide this post for me” is a great feature of Twitter-like social media. In Bluesky, it even hides the quote-posts for that post. And the whole thread? (That part I’m not sure of.) It’s, weirdly, permanent, though. I think it should be easy to undo if necessary. In Mastodon it’s doable, but a bit tricky. Every app like it should implement it.

Jeff Johnson is leaving Reddit because of its decision to discontinue its RSS feeds. https://lapcatsoftware.com/articles/2026/10/1.html

Welcome to NNW users. 😎

Had a little help from Claude to fix a bug in my NNW themes - to embed youtube videos directly in the theme. meaning NNW can now be my video player of choice from YT's RSS feeds directly. thechels.uk/…/nnw-theme-bundle-release-f3749adf9d58

I had a nice relaxing evening watching some bananaball, with a cat asleep next to me, while my buddy Claude and I updated my Golang port of the rss.chat backend.

The big updates are getting back to feature parity with Dave's version.
- User management and authentication ✅
- Post creation, updates, deletion ✅
- Threaded conversations ✅
- Like/unlike functionality ✅
- RSS feed generation ✅
- Media uploads with validation ✅
- Real-time WebSocket updates ✅
- WebSub support ✅And we added in a new Comprehensive E2E Test Suite.

The code is all uploaded to GitHub. (https://github.com/roberte3/rss.chat.go)

Let me know if there are any problems/etc.

Slideshare has been around for a few years. It’s a great tool for sharing your Powerpoint and Keynote presentations from speaking events. It is also useful as it’s own multimedia destination. By posting a presentation, you’ll find some great backlinks for SEO benefit. Post links within your presentation and description back to your website. In addition, embed the presentation into your blog as you see below. See Slideshare’s 2010 Zeitgeist below. Connect with me on Slideshare:
