I like these little question things, like a chain letter. Remember when those used to be a physical thing you forwarded on? Now I feel old.

Tabitha played her final U13 match for Sussex yesterday. Weirdly emotional day. She's been with this team for maybe 3 years and has made friends with some lovely kids (and I feel like I've made friends with some of the parents, too). I hope she gets into U15 or at least stays in touch with them; it'd be a shame to lose that.
I love sport and I wish I'd had more of it at her age. Badminton has been incredible for my confidence and I've met such a diverse bunch of people through it. I'd love to have more sports but I barely have time for the two I actually do.
I've been 3D Printing!
If you're wondering why Bambu Lab chose to finally lose their minds when they did, it's because I ordered one of their printers.
Just a nice sunset
I'm not normally bothered by photographing a sunset. In truth they never look as good in pictures as they do in real life.
I guess you can call it "back on my bullshit", but I'm giving social media another try. I had a...
Pizza, yolo
I made pizzas. I think these are my favourites I've ever made.
Aegir shared this post on Mastodon earlier and I think it's an interesting take on something I've...

Photos
I've done it again. Lots of pictures from the last month.
Blocking share tracking with a Cloudflare Worker and Apple Shortcuts
I've been doing a fairly primitive version of this for a little while. Instagram upped their game, so I had to match pace.

Apple Intelligence isn't just an inferior product, it seems to actively make everything it touches worse. Lasted three days before turning it all off. Does time just make everything worse? It seems to.
I bought Forza Horizon 4 on Steam because it was super cheap, and everyone says it runs better...
Tabitha's Chris Riddell Portrait
Chris Riddell drew these 15 minute portraits for a charity in Brighton and it was such a sweet experience.
Balatro
Remember when I tried Balatro and didn't like it? Who even was that guy?
November
Shoreham boardwalk
Tabitha and I went for a walk down the boardwalk in Shoreham whilst Charlotte mooched around some shops. We saw so many dogs but there's no photos of dogs here.

Y'know I just realised that if you focus on giving your kid opportunities to exceed you, they will likely outgrow you sooner than you were anticipating, in ways that you weren't expecting. You might end up raising and supporting a stranger who doesn't recognise you, and the feeling might be mutual, and it remains your responsibility to push that stranger forward. And that's what you want, if you're being truly selfless. Which, of course I am. And you should not resent that person for achieving what you wanted them to achieve, even if it means you essentially being left behind whilst being obligated to support them. Tricky.
What a great way to make your own life feel like an absolute waste of time. Have I mentioned; struggling.
More photos
Some more snaps to round out the longest month in the history of the planet, draw a line under it, and do something better from now on.
The things you can do with Docker Compose!
I learned some super cool stuff I should probably have known, but sometimes it's just easier to come up with your own tooling than it is to learn how to do things properly!

Does anyone have a contact at the EU? If they're going to legislate on cookies, I'm going to need them to step in on share-tracking. Spotify, YouTube, Facebook, probably others; when you share a link, they add an fbclid, si, whatever, unique ID to your link that they can use to track who you shared that link with and associate you with people even if you're not friends with them on that platform.
If you share links from these platforms with people, please strip that crap out before you share. iMessage has added an extremely unhelpful feature that automatically obfuscates these share-tracking links by loading previews immediately so you can't even see that you're sharing these links.
I hate technology and the people who create it. The internet had such potential and we let the scumbag normies in and they've ruined it.
It has taken me about two months to drop Google as my search engine and web browser. The reason...
I think it's maybe a symptom of advancing age but I've been enjoying watching sports a lot...

A few weeks' worth of snaps.

In a game where you can play as a pangolin, how are you going to play as anything other than a pangolin? Don't talk to me about axolotls; have you even seen a pangolin?
Updating this website with what's playing in Plex
I've had this idea kicking around in my head for a while, and when I looked at Luke's latest homepage, and how much cool stuff he has going on, I had to make it.
Clingy puppy is clingy
Not complaining, it's actually quite sweet, but sometimes it'd be nice to move from where I'm standing, and not nearly trip over a dog.

Pizza in the Dark
The last couple of times I've made pizza, it's been quite cold and the dough hasn't proved very nicely. This time was no different but still managed to get some OK pizzas out of it.
New Shoe Day!
I saw the LeBron Witness 8s and liked the design of them, but didn't go for it. Glad I didn't because they just released these ridiculous ones and I love them.
Obstructed Views
Charlotte and I went to see The Horne Section live last night, but I found out about it too late and our seats were described as "obstructed view".
