A helpful geotrail led me right to this one, though I had to wait until a slow-moving jogger, talking on their phone, had passed before I could retrieve it. TFTC.

QEF at the one obvious hiding place within the GZ. Got pickled retrieving the cache, but that was nothing compared to how difficult it was to extract the log from its inner container. What a challenge! TFTC.

Great container in an excellent spot (have another FP!) but retrieval of this one was a bit of a stretch for my old bones! Amazing route you've picked out here, too, CO. TFTC!

A telltale sign to geocacher's eye made both finding and retrieving this cache pretty easy. TFTC!

Searched high and low around the obvious hiding place before sitting down to have a think and immediately spotting another even better hiding place she the cache in pain sight: d'oh! The geopup didn't want to come all the all the way to it so she waited at the first obvious hiding spot. Great to see a good sized cache for the environment and in such good condition. FP awarded. Took 4x4 travel bug. TFTC!

After initially following what I mistook for a geotrail but which turned out to be on entirely the wrong side of the path, I soon saw my mistake, crossed over, and had the cache in hand. TFTC.

Stopped at the pub nearby for an incredibly late lunch and to recharge the electric car on my journey from Pembrokeshire to Oxfordshire, because I'd much rather get off the motorway and find somewhere nice to sit while the electrons do their thing. Spotted this nearby cache in the yard of this beautiful church, which made for a lovely walk as the well-tended flowerbeds were wonderfully fragrant. Followed a geotrail to find the cache. Bonus: there were at least two different, incompatible, pinout “standards” for this thing, so there was no guarantee that a random monitor with this cable would connect to your workstation, even if it had the right port.

Embarrassingly, it took until 2018 before Three Rings implemented pronouns in a way I could be proud of (and it's only improved since then!). But it still gives me a smug satisfaction, every time I see some hateful shit mock respectful pronoun use, to think how my software would respond to them.

When people started calling my personal mobile number with questions about a voluntary organisation I'm involved with, I was confused: we weren't sharing that number. It turns out that Google had decided to take the number I used to verify my identity for Google Business some years prior and start putting it in Google Search results. WTF, Google?

Shower thought for the morning was: why is cream cheese spread 'Philadelphia' called that? Is it from Philadelphia? (My box isn't, of course: it came from Ireland.) Nope, it turns out that it was originally invented in New York in the 19th century and named for Philadelphia because Philadelphia, PA was at that point famous for its dairy industry. Just another bit of parasitic branding leveraging a borrowed association, like the Quaker Oats guy or the Rolls Razor. Now I'm wondering how many other examples I can find!
