We’ve rolled out initial Ghost blog sync on the web platform. This is still a little experimental and will likely see more improvements now that it’s deployed. Make a backup! You can connect a WordPress or Ghost blog to be synced within Micro.blog by clicking Account → New Blog popup menu.

Epilogue 2.7.1 for iOS and Android is now available, fixing a few issues and adding the new text editor with Markdown highlighting.

Updated the books API page with an example of getting data formatted nicely for a calendar interface. This is what Micro.blog and Epilogue use. It’s also available from Hugo plug-ins.

Micro.blog’s automatic sending of webmentions has been expanded to support u-like-of links on your blog. If you manually create one of those links, Micro.blog will send the webmention for you.

Fixed an issue creating Bluesky preview cards in cross-posting for some external blogs.

Fixed an issue with Micro.blog’s secure certificate that was causing problems in some older systems.

Released an updated Mac version for Micro.blog, version 4.2, adding the bookshelves calendar and a new experimental note dictation feature.

Updated Inkwell for Mac to version 1.5.3, fixing several issues.

Epilogue 2.7 has now been released for Android too. It adds the Goals → Calendar tab and also fixes the bad cropping on the icon for some Android devices.

Epilogue for iOS has been updated with a new Goals → Calendar tab.

Updated Wavelength to run on the iPad.

New blogs now default to the “Photos with months” plug-in, for nicer looking photos page with sections by date. Anyone can install the plug-in or if you know a little HTML, edit the theme to customize the layout.

Fixed a bug with plug-ins like “Photos with months” not overriding default templates in Hugo 0.158. For new users, we’re also going to start automatically installing that plug-in soon, since it’s a better default.

Fixed a new issue with redirects and 404 handling for subdomains, and possible temporary SSL errors.

We had some more downtime today after a server problem. Apologies again. We’ll continue to closely monitor throughout the rest of the day.

There was a brief period (30 seconds) of errors when creating new blog posts today. Very sorry for the glitch. All good now.

We’ve released a big update to Wavelength for iOS and Android, version 2.1. This adds the Listen Later feature from the web, and also a new option to add audio narration to existing blog posts.

Fixed new videos coming from Mastodon to show the poster frame in the timeline before playback.

Fixed an upload issue that incorrectly limited uploads to 20 MB from MarsEdit and other XML-RPC clients. For larger video files, we still recommend uploading from the web and using a Micro.blog Studio subscription.

We released Epilogue 2.6 for iOS and Android. This version adds The New York Times fiction best seller list in Discover and a new layout for iPad users.

Fixed including duplicate books in Discover when a blog post was also cross-posted to Bluesky.

Improved posts search for your blog to highlight matches when in posts list view. Updated search highlighting style for dark mode.

Added a new “Pull from GitHub” button in the theme editor when viewing a theme or plug-in that was cloned from GitHub. Also moved the “Edit Themes” button under the select theme popup menu.
