How long before Trump deploys these secret police in every blue state swing district.

In other words no one believes him.

How disappointing that gift links from the NYT only work if your friends are registered and spammable. Couldn't they just do a nice thing to flow news around the net, or are their stories just advertising. And their fans are just shills (who get no pay btw). Pure slop.
Janelle Bouie is wrong, it did happen. I guess not everyone can see it, but it’s there.

Silicon Valley has never been about what people want.

"There are, of course, differences between Micro.blog and rss.chat, but the intention behind both is very similar, isn't it?"

Getting independent developers working with each other is my mission, because first you have to have interop between the people before you can get interop between the apps.

I remember my first trip to Silicon Valley in 1979. Drove around for 30 years trying to find it. Never did. 😉
As often is the case..: https://dave.micro.blog/2026/08/08/as-often-is-the-case.html
Postscript. For the post that was to be routed to standard.site (whatever that means) I can find no evidence that something was sent somewhere.
The next test post: https://dave.micro.blog/2026/08/08/the-next-test-post.html
This is a test.
This is a short less-than 300 char post, that is being routed to Bluesky via micro.blog.

This my friends is a milestone.
RSS.chat => Atmosphere via micro.blog.
All the heavy lifting is being done by micro.blog.
This works, now the next question is if the connection to standard.site works. Back in a few. ;-)

Trump doesn’t want to pay taxes, ever.
I wrote this yesterday about how I want to hook RSS up to standard.site.
I'd love to see my posts on their feed reader, and vice versa.

I usually don’t like horror movies but the Quiet series is good stuff.

Has AI replaced many human jobs?
Just wondering if any polling orgs are watching this.
She was thinking.
1. Lame.
2. Duck.

I want soft networks that people can configure themselves that just pop up you do your thing and they pop right off.
There’s so much overhead in creating an identity on a service like bluesky but what about just for the little things.
We can do that privately, but what if it isn’t private.
The hardest thing for people to get about open systems is that if you move forward, not only do you benefit, but your competitors benefit equally. When one of them takes but doesn't give back, that's even worse. But you do it anyway because otherwise eventually, without interop, no one can move.
My big peeve w Claude Code is that it stops to get permission which means I have to sit there clicking buttons, not getting my own work done. It makes overnight jobs almost impossible. I keep asking it to plan ahead, and it often forgets, with apologies, a lot of good that does me. ;-)
