This hasn’t gotten much attention, but it should. While everyone was focused on Schedule F, the administration created something even broader. On July 30, a new OPM rule took effect that creates a second way to fire federal employees outside the normal civil service process.
A win! Prosecutors in Washington are dropping charges against three more defendants who had been accused of vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
We’ve been saying this for a while now many of the people being targeted are just fishermen. Evidence now supports that the United States has killed individuals who were not involved in drug trafficking during its “counternarcotics interdiction operations” in the Caribbean and Pacific.

Update: We initially thought the Trump IRS settlement had been eliminated. It wasn’t. Part of it was eliminated.
The biggest change is that Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche formally rescinded the proposed $1.776 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund,” a taxpayer-funded slush fund that was created as
A win and a loss. At least Trump’s proposed slush fund is gone. Sens. John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) announced they will support Todd Blanche’s nomination for attorney general after Blanche said he would formally scrap the administration’s proposed “anti-weaponization” fund.

Our hearts are with everyone in Spokane and across Washington! 💚
The Trump administration’s goal, along with many of its allies, has been to destroy the resistance. But there’s one thing they’ll never understand is we defend our own.
Trump is publicly fighting with his own hand-picked appointees after his Justice Department concluded in court that the Reflecting Pool damage was primarily caused by a “rushed and botched installation.” Maybe whoever installed the grass was also unqualified and is responsible for the “8647”.
The Trump administration has begun removing signage from both Grand Staircase-Escalante and Bears Ears National Monuments following its decision to shrink the monuments.
A win! A federal court has denied xAI’s request to block Minnesota’s AI nudification law from taking effect. That means the law is set to go into effect today as scheduled.
It has to be embarrassing to be MAGA after spending weeks blaming “vandals” for the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool damage, only for the Trump administration to admit in court that it was caused by a “flawed installation” by the contractor.
A win! The Department of Justice has withdrawn all criminal charges against three-time U.S. Olympic canoeist David “Davey” Hearn.
Trump has decided he wants his slush fund after all and isn’t happy a judge said no. He’s now appealing the ruling that blocked the IRS deal, which the judge said involved self-dealing.
This is a serious issue, even though Trump is attempting to turn it into a political game by blaming Minnesota. Cyberattacks targeting municipal water and wastewater systems have now been reported in at least seven states this week.
Trump is holding a Cabinet meeting and talking about how much the January 6 insurrectionists suffered after their attack on the Capitol. It’s odd because he’s speaking as though he had no role in what happened. He claimed many of them died by suicide and suggested what they did was innocent.
Flock cameras’ days are numbered. Across the country, communities are removing them city by city. Thank you to everyone who is standing up, speaking out, and fighting back against their expansion. Here’s the cities that have fought back and won!
Denver CO, Austin TX, San Marcos TX, Evanston IL,
Many Americans are going back to old “dumb” phones, and the reason is an older case that is gaining new attention after federal prosecutors charged Atlanta activist Samuel Tunick over a phone that erased itself during a CBP search.
The Trump administration says it isn’t trying to destroy the U.S. Forest Service. Let’s look at the facts. Over the past year, the U.S. Forest Service has lost nearly 7,000 employees through layoffs, buyouts, and other workforce reductions roughly one-quarter of its workforce.
ICE is still refusing to follow through on its pledge to equip its officers with body cameras. Their goal is without body camera footage, accountability becomes much harder. If you witness an interaction, remember to keep your camera rolling and document what you can safely.
We found some fraud, waste, and abuse.
Trump ordered the National Park Service to spend $5 million on a project to paint four horse statues using 23.75-karat gold leaf. This money was intended to maintain our national parks, but instead it’s being spent on gold paint for statues.
Fauci.
The renaming of everything and the removal of Trump’s name and face from it all will be a huge celebration after this administration.
The Trump administration has approved the first AI data center to be built on federal public land. The project will occupy roughly 88.5 acres of Bureau of Land Management land in southern Nevada and will set a major precedent for using America’s public lands for private AI infrastructure.
It’s crazy the MAGA party is struggling so badly that they’re bringing up COVID again. We guess when you can’t defend what’s happening now, a distraction is the next best thing.
We do agree. With this administration, invoking your Fifth Amendment rights is often the smartest course of action. They have shown a willingness to aggressively pursue and target people, so protecting your constitutional rights is more important than ever.
The Trump administration announced that power plants built exclusively to serve data centers (ones that never connect to the public grid) are now exempt from the Clean Air Act’s Acid Rain Program.
