Today's wiring progress: got about half the cat6 jacks wired, and also the speaker jacks!
We finally got the solar panels installed! This has been holding back a bunch of the rest of the project. Finally I can get permanent power connected and get rid of the temporary power pole, and finally get the rest of the crew in here to install the ACs and such!
Yes only 5 panels is silly, I am going to try to add more, but I have to fight the city code first.
Finally got the solar permit and the crew came and installed the electrical and mounting track for the panels. The panels go up tomorrow!
New #Nomatic bag fits perfectly in the skinny under-seat aisle spots on the Alaska planes
This week's CSA haul
Waffle night! Made 58 waffles! Seven weeks of waffle breakfasts
Rack is hung and ready for wires! I also got the bathroom speakers up and running today
Got all the ceiling microphones wired up! This will eventually feed into Home Assistant for local voice control
So many neighbor dogs like to do their business in our unfinished driveway. Thankfully the neighbors do clean up after their dogs. But if this happens after 8pm, they have been tripping the alarm that keeps out the creepers from the yard.
So earlier this week I set up a new automation. If the cameras spot an animal in the driveway, it disarms the alarm for 5 minutes. This gives their humans enough time to clean up without tripping the alarm. Then it re-arms the alarm after.
This has significantly reduced the number of false positive alarms!
