Little snail on glass 🐌

Spent a bit of time today preparing last months photos for a Instagram post. I'm not too active there anymore, but for connecting with fellow photographers it's still one of the best places sadly.

So anyways, I took my favorites from August and made a post on my profile. I think in the long run I'll also use Flickr again, I posted about it a while back. I don't want to dump all my photos on Flickr tho, so maybe I'll just post my favorites there as well? Welp, we'll see.

Today's photo is definitely a bit of a cheat as I've no time to actually take some proper photos, and I haven't left the house at all today.

Didn't take any pictures today other than a few while cooking. Very lazy Sunday on the sofa.

Spend the morning in the forest with the family for a walk and a small picnic. 🧺

... or well, kind of a normal morning sky but it's always nice to see a nice sky.

Quick snap in the morning and LOADS of work today.

Made some Auflauf tonight. Not much else to share.

I always liked windmills, the energy-generating type. For me they're a sign of progress, a symbol of creating clean energy. Similar to solar panels, seeing them reminds me of a future that is possible; A future where we produce energy in a clean way instead of burning fossile fuels.

This day flew by like it was nothng! (Maybe because I watched 6 episodes of Arcane with my eldest child! 😬)

Exhausted after the conf, and a little bit sick as well. 🤧

Container Days is over and I’m exhausted! Being at the booth all day, giving a talk on Role-based Access Control in Kubernetes, and sadly not so much networking time as I’d liked to have.

Also, I think I may be getting sick 🤧

Weird old sign I saw at Schuppen 52 in Hamburg today. The sign reads „taking fruits forbidden (even if they’re trash)“.

I guess it comes from a time when they loaded fruits in this area of the Hamburg port?

Ducks in the big pond the other day. It's been raining all day and I feel zero inspiration to take photos inside or outside at all.

Did a little bicycle trip with my brother-in-law and a friend today. It was a nice 18km long trip through the woods and surrounding towns. Didn't take much pictures, and it started raining on the way back. Next time I'll take a smaller camera that's easier to handle while riding!

Realised this blog is a bit like a diary. Very annoying day today, hoping for a better day tomorrow.

It's hard to find subjects in a small town. Compared to the city there's less anonymity here, and I don't want to photograph people in their day-to-day life. Similarly, I don't want to photograph peoples houses or gardens, and I also don't want to knock on the door and ask if I could take a picture of their house or garden; it just feels weird.

Guess I'll get used to it eventually, or figure out what and where to photograph.

Saw the heron again today!
