This was posted at about 01:30am so it's probably full or errors but whatever I never back out of writing a post all in one go.
If I've spoken you in the past week, I probably mentioned playing around with Plan 9. After getting an old PC on ebay for 30€ (~40€ with shipping) I thought "if I was ever goint to install this, now is the time". Shout out to Matt for the hint of what to look for to get real cheap used PCs on ebay; which we talked about a bit on an IndieWeb pop-up about BSD.

I used my post from last week as my first proper test of POSSE-style publishing. A long form text on my digital garden first, then a link post on this microblog, then cross-posted to Bluesky and Mastodon. Here is how it went: https://knot.tilman.me/post/posse-the-first-try/

Ja, war voll ok. Hatte ein paar gute Sprüche, Situationen und Gags in guter alter Stromberg-Manier im Programm. Nicht mehr und nicht weniger.
This is an entry (just in the nick of time) for May 2026's IndieWeb Carnival, with the theme of 'a love letter' chosen and hosted by Juhis. It was very much inspired by Brennan's entry.

Hey @badlogic and @mitsuhiko — have you looked at Next Frontier AI yet?
The more I read about it, the more I feel Europe doesn’t just need new frontier models. It also needs the infrastructure layer around them: coding harnesses, local-first agents, evals, reproducible environments, trajectory/session collection, RL data pipelines, etc.
Projects like pi and the broader local-LLM ecosystem feel surprisingly aligned with that vision.
A museum visit, playing a concert, Kunstakademie Rundgang, and Karneval. (50 photos)
Have rewatched this after a looong while. And the first time not dubbed. Still so so good and so funny. Every scene is perfect. The cast and their performances, the dialogue… One of my favourite movies of all time.

Naty is ahead of the curve in using less water to cook pasta, which I am now doing regularly. For rice, at least brown rice, I probably use too much water as I invariably end up draining it when it is done. Better that than scorched rice. I need a small rice cooker.
