Over on Bear Blog, Thereabouts posted “The greatest breakfast food in existence”. When I read the title, my face lit up. “A blog post about breakfast food!” It got me thinking about what breakfast brings me the most joy. I think the answer is waffles and coffee. This time a...

Last week someone who uses Artemis suggested that it would be nice to be able to use the software with a custom subdomain on their website. This feature suggestion got me thinking about the “own your links” concept in the IndieWeb. While the current version of the “own your ...

Behind the counter in a coffee shop I visited last week there was a whiteboard which read [1]:
Sunday debate:

Custard creams or chocolate bourbons
There were dozens of tally marks on the board and counts from a social media poll. The results were:
Custard creams: 212Bourbons: 171
I love both biscuits, so if there were a both option I would have voted as such; if I had to pick one, it would be custard creams, though. Otherwise, I might have said fig rolls, a biscuit I had for the first time in ages this week. Fig rolls may not have been an option, but they sure are tasty.

[1]: Given I saw the whiteboard on a week day, I assume the debate was going to run for a week, despite the title being "Sunday debate". In any case, any day is a good day to chat about biscuits.

Today I went out for dinner with Ian and Callum. We were originally going to Phed Mark a Thai pop-up, until we realised that it closed at 16:30.

Since going to Chiang Mai and eating Khoa Soi I’ve been on a mission to find it in the UK. A few weeks ago I found it in The Eagle in Brighton. After a few searches and review reading I found Sen Sen Noodle bar in Soho, it was also part of the group with the Phed Mark pop-up.

The menu had multiple Khoa Sois:

• Khoa Soi chicken
• Khoa Soi short rib
• Khoa Soi scallop and prawn
• Khoa Soi confit duck
• Khoa Soi braised beef
• Khoa Soi lobster

I had chicken and Ian and Callum both had short rib. The sauce was really nice and even better once I had added the chilli oil. It was not as good as the one we had in Chiang Mai but it was very good and I’d really recommend it.

Woohoo! Jasper and Florian added webmention support to their blogs!

I picked this up because it's this month's IndieWeb Book Club pick. Wouldn't have found it otherwise, and that's exactly why book clubs matter. If you've got a place on the internet, why don't you joi...

@NASA.gov has lots of short Artemis videos on their YouTube channel (@NASA@YouTube.com), however this 10h10m video of the Artemis II lunar flyby appears to be the closest to a continuous long-form recording of the live stream during that period.https://youtu.be/z-j1uxBmis0 Af...

I’ve seen a few indie web directories popping up lately, so in an attempt to keep track of them all I’ve started on a directory of indie web directories .
Then I was introduced to Russel’s paradox , which asks if a directory should include itself?
The answer is no, you make another one .
