📀 watched “The Dark Knight” on Blu-ray, still holds up.I saw it in the Metreon IMAX theater when it came out in 2008. About 28 minutes of it was filmed in 70mm film using IMAX cameras. The movie switched aspect ratios when it switched from IMAX to normal film. The 2-Disc Special Edition Blu-ray also switched aspect ratios roughly at similar times. Nice to see that that was preserved.The movie has incredible pacing. No extra moments. I was at one of the local museums last weekend, because it was the last day of their exhibit on "clouds in art", that I'd been wanting to check out since March.
At the museum, I took pictures using a kids camera that instantly prints on thermal paper. I got this because Max had one at IWC Nürnberg and I thought it was cool — he also has a cool post about a thermal printer camera project, you should check that out.
It turned off before I got through the whole exhibit because it was out of batteries, so for the other exhibit they had going on I have pics I took on the phone. In the end I had a really long spool of badly rendered monochrome representations of the art.
