I loved some of the things Fractal Kitty rounded up, especially Hawzen's amazing effort to identify a fossil mollusc shell purely on the basis of gross morphology, here. I kinda sorta understand the maths, though not in any great detail, especially this:

See how I added a pre-build step using a Bash script in my Hugo deployment workflow to check for the draft status of Markdown content. By using stricter linting rules than Hugo’s default draft behaviour, it can catch and prevent drafts from being accidentally published.

I embarked on trying to update a web mentions plugin for my other site, which uses the Grav CMS. I fear that the work may be beyond me, even with the help of an LLM, but we shall see. So I want to follow the Posse of Webmention Scratch-Builders even though I have little to contribute.

They showed this at the local cinema, the Atelier. I always enjoy a good studio documentation - especially one of such an interesting band and one that's as well done as this one. And I'm very glad no one fell off that roof, WTF!?

I wanted a Coen movie, I got a Coen movie. Absolutely hilarious. And another fantastic cast. They were all a delight to watch, but I probably liked John Malkovich's performance the most. Also loved the idea with the CIA guy reporting those summaries of what had happened. Clever and funny.
