One of my favourite times of the year is when trees blossom. I love searching for the first signs of pink buds on the trees, looking closely at the tips of branches to guage when I may first see blossom. Over the last few weeks, I have been delighted to see one tree after another show signs of pink blossom. This morning, on a walk, I took a moment to think about how a few trees had blossomed. I had walked past them a few times with their white buds, but this morning got me thinking about how there is always something new to see on the path: the change of trees as the seasons ebb and flow, the birdsong, the light as the seasons change. I saw a cat on my walk, too. His bushy fur made me smile.
I was in a Tesco Express – a convenience store”– last weekend. When I walked in, looking for a meal deal and at the stage of choosing which sweet to buy 1, I saw two young women walk toward the ice cream freezer. I then heard: “They are out of ice cream. What the fuck [laughs].” I couldn’t help but smile to myself at the randomness of this comment – the excitement for ice cream and the seeming surprise from the fact that there was none available. The joy with which the words were said resonated with me. I am still laughing about it now. 1 I opted for a Bounty, my go-to chocolate bar. The packaging has a palm tree on it! [↩]
For two years now, I have been buying music again. Opposed to streaming that is. There is a variety of reasons for this.
@auphonic Und dann wollte ich noch fragen, ob Ihr den den Shownotes zugrundeliegenden Prompt vielleicht auch exponiert und editierbar macht? Denn für meinen Geschmack schreibt die KI zu viel im Passiv und auch generell nicht in unserem üblichen Tonfall. Das könnte man dann feinjustieren (+ Reset-Knopf, wenn man sich in eine Ecke gepromptet hat)

@auphonic Wie wäre es, wenn man für jede*n Sprecher*in ein kurzes Audio-Schnipsel hinterlegen könnte, so dass das System anhand dessen eine Zuordnung vornimmt? Theoretisch könntet Ihr das Sample von jedem Sprecher auch nur einmal verarbeiten und das Ergebnis/den Fingerprint cachen.
@auphonic Guten Morgen Team Auphonic! ☀️ Ich hätte einen Feature-Request für die Transkription-Funktion. Und zwar ist mir letztens aufgefallen, dass ihr neuerdings die Speakernamen den transkribierten Sätzen voranstellt. Allerdings werden die in der Reihenfolge vergeben, wie sie in der Liste eingetragen sind und die Sprecher sprechen. Wir haben aber ein Preset, das immer übernommen wird und daher passt die Zuordnung fast nie.
seeing pink blossoms from the train. talking coffee with a barista — of speaking about origins and tasting notes. striking up conversation with people while waiting in line. imagination, and of daydreaming. reading text in a foreign language — maybe even a foreign alphabet — and being able to understand what you have read. seeing people sit outside in the evening, enjoying desserts or drinks or food. seeing something from an entirely new perspective. walking by the river on a sunny morning. And of all the memories I have there. watching a barista focus as they pour latte art. the question “do you want a refill?” when my coffee cup is empty. arriving at the platform just as a Tube has pulled in. spotting a quaint bookstore. gazing out a train window on a sunny day where there is barely a cloud in the sky. looking up to the sky after sunset and seeing the moon.
