This has been on my mind as well. Wouldn’t it be great if the AI Wild West – especially the open-weight models – got regulated, and there were only a few very responsible, very trustworthy companies allowed to proceed working with this incredibly dangerous technology? Wouldn’t that be great for their future stock prices, too?
