On Saturday, I’ll be live on stage with Brutal Unrest again.
@chriscoyier @davatron5000 Thanks for the shout out on my favorite podcast! 🤗 The issue in my case was indeed an incredibly large number of crawler bots from different countries, all brute-force attacking my notes section with tags in the URL params. They also completely ignored nofollow and canonical. The majority were coming from Singapore, later Taiwan. So I still have no idea why my hosting provider decided to block Canada. 😆
The new YouTube video player allows playing videos in full screen mode when launched from a PWA on iPad. No more opening an extra FeedCity tab in the browser just to watch the videos I bookmarked to watch during lunch break.

Release 1.2.0 of Webmention for Craft CMS adds a “Failed Webmentions” view for easier debugging and retrying with one click. 🎉

🎬 PG: Psycho Goreman

Honestly, this was very entertaining. I was pretty tired, but this kept me awake, no problem. It's just so bizarre and funny. The daughter and her father are absolute comedy gold. And that policeman! The costumes are so good, too. I don't know, I had a great time and would most definitely watch it again.
👍 Recommended!
🎬 Edge of Honor

Plot is all over the place and there's quite a few scenes that make little sense. But yeah, for a trash-movie night, certainly not the worst flick. "Wait, how did they lift those enormous logs and … ?" "WHO CARES, ACTION, AHHHH…!". The finale is like Home Alone but in the woods and pretty entertaining.
Webmentions can fail for all kinds of reasons – broken microformats, unreachable sources, flaky CDNs – and debugging them from log files is cumbersome. So I added a new “Failed Webmentions” section to the Craft CMS plugin’s control panel that shows what went wrong. Already works on my machine™ 😁

Another HWC Düsseldorf has taken place this week, where we shared what we’ve been up to with our personal sites. Nina continued to write more and more for her homepage as well as work on the code. She started adding music to her blog posts. Jochen continues to make selfhosted tools and recently added a (private) “Archive” site where he adds podcasts episodes to, and transcribes the audio into text. I recently added the latest Polaroid to my homepage.
We also talked about Kagi’s Small Web initiative, AI, how much personal information to share online, and easter eggs. Links mentioned:

Hello migraine with aura my old friend… 😘
Could be fun to try to visualize that. The patterns are different every time and a mix of blank spots, blurry areas, and rainbow stars or rather twinkling chrystal patterns slowly growing and wandering around my field of vision. ✨
