👀 We’re getting there …

This episode was incredibly good! It’s super interesting that HTML imports would actually be possible (and also that they might be called <rupert> – and include lazy loading)! Thank you guys! 👏

🤩 The latest Safari 26 Beta does not disappoint in terms of #CSS features:

⚓️ Anchor Positioning!
🪄 Scroll-driven animations!
🌯 text-wrap: pretty!
🌈 contrast-color()!
⏲️ progress()!
and more!

And this sentence: “We value the principles of progressive enhancement and separation of concerns.” 😉

Great work, @jensimmons and everyone else involved! 👏

I have no idea how to make such knobs accessible, though … 🤔 Maybe range sliders as fallbacks under the hood?

Also, just look at those numerals by @koeberlin 😍

🎧 AMENRA "Roads" (written by Portishead) – AMENRA

Amenra does an acoustic guitar cover version of maybe my favourite Portishead song. So good! Love how the guitar is recorded and you hear all sorts of background sounds, as well as the player doing the percussion probably live while playing guitar.

What is the most chaotic page on your website?

At Homebrew Website Club last night we got onto the topic of chaos and websites. I asked What is the most chaotic page on your website? To my surprise, everyone had a slightly different answer: from pages with an “earthquake mode” to a web page whose background colour changes...

Started with a sketch

When I design web pages, I usually start with an idea or concept I want to explore. Here are a few examples of things I have wanted to play with: A two-column layout that uses black, white, and grey A site that only uses two colours A web page that uses text with unusual spa...

If you’re posting all of the life lessons from your best-selling book using AI-generated illustrations and images, I can’t help but think you might have written huge parts of that book with AI as well… 🤔

It makes me really happy to see that already more than 1.5k people watched my talk from last month’s @btconf on YouTube! 🥳🙏 I take it as a sign that it was useful to many of you and that real-world, independent conferences are still valuable and relevant – just like the long tail of YouTube when it comes to the visibility and impact of conferences. I’m so glad I can contribute to @marcthiele’s wonderful event and to the community this way! 💚

… e.g. your content (including audio), messages, metadata, location, device characteristics and device software, apps, “what you're doing on your device, such as whether our app is in the foreground”, identifiers that tell your device apart from other users’, device signals, information about the network that you connect your device to, including your IP address, and, of course, “information from cookies and similar technologies” – and so much more.

Sounds totally legitimate to me. 😂
