I bought more pedals. And so I needed a bigger board, to be able to fit them all. Here’s what it looks like now:

🎧 Esoteric Malacology – Slugdge
Does this bring anything new to the table? I don’t think so. But it’s very well done. It has some fantastic guitar work, blast beats, and great vocals. Winner!
🎬 Druk (Another Round)

Four school teachers wanted to try a philosopher’s theory that humans generally have 0.05% too little blood alcohol. So they started drinking.
This is funny, has drama, and wonderful acting. Highly recommended!

🎧 Sagor – Skraeckoedlan
Enjoying some good Swedish riff-rock. Can’t stop listening to that “El Monstro”-riff.

Doomsday
Oh FFS! Instagram now requires you to have an account to view anything on their website. You can no longer visit profiles of people or businesses let alone permalink pages.
I hope Instagram will revert this. Or everybody will just stop posting exclusively on that stupid platform (yeah, right!)!
Frustrating nonsense!
🎬 A Rainy Day in New York

Nicole “warned” me that critics didn’t like this movie much.
I disagree. I found this to be a clever, funny and overall very entertaining story.

Bye, 2020!
🎧 I – Conjurer
Currently listening to this EP quite a bit. Some great tremolo-picking melodies. And a great vocalist duo. Much heavy! Much good!
📄 Donations 2020
Here are the charities I donated money to at the end of this year:
🎬 Suspiria

Another classic. For good reason.
Amazing set. Great atmosphere. Well done – and indeed gory – murder scenes. The end scene was great. Very much enjoyed the soundtrack. On the other hand, acting and dialogs were lacking. But that’s alright. I would recommend this, if one is into horror movies and hasn’t seen this, yet.
🎧 Solace – Jakob
Instrumental post rock from New Zealand. Very atmospheric. Great to work to (as a lot of instrumental albums). My current favourite from that album is “Everything All of the Time” – that drum beat is exactly my kind of groove.
🎬 On The Rocks

Good dialogs and good acting. But unsurprising and very conventional. Was ok.
🎬 Better Watch Out

Had its moments and good ideas. But ultimately I found this unconvincing and excessively cruel.
🎬 Subito – Instant Photography

About the history of Polaroid. A lot of great info and anecdotes about instant photography. Nice animations included. An hour and fifteen minutes very well spent!
📖 Utopien für Realisten – Rutger Bregman
🎬 Official Secrets

The true story of British intelligence whistleblower Katharine Gun who—prior to the 2003 Iraq invasion—leaked a top-secret NSA memo exposing a joint US-UK illegal spying operation against members of the UN Security Council. The memo proposed blackmailing member states into voting for war.
– Description on the TMDB page.
A well-made movie about a topic I’m interested in and about a case I wasn’t aware of. Top!
🎧 Capricorn – Orchid
What is this? 70s-style hard rock? Anyway – I like it! Great guitar riffs, catchy – although often long – songs, and – guess what? – very nice drumming.Every song is strong, but “Black Funeral” might be my favourite, if only for those amazing drum fills in the pre-chorus.
🎬 Mother

I loved “Parasite” by Bong Joon-ho. This was not as good.
Still very good, though, with interesting (moral) questions raised about disabilities, family bonds, the work of the police, and the blaming of presumed murder suspects.
My only negative point is actually, that is was a bit too long. (And maybe I didn’t get into it as much, because we watched the dubbed German version, which I am no longer used to, and which irritates me.)
