It was such a wonderful day over here yesterday. We took it as a chance to take a long walk along the Rhine. It was such a great feeling to have the sun back. I knew it before, but I am really dependent on the weather and my mood is heavily influenced by how light or dark a day is. OK for a day, but if it is dark and grey over a period of weeks, I can’t help, but am tired and unmotivated. On another note, today is the birthday of my brother, who died 2013 surprisingly. Doing a proper introduction

Like I said before, I was shitting my pants before I had seen the film. Andreas Brüggemann and Stefan Nitzsche were working on this since beginning on 2019 and many things happened during this time. Many things that those two might see different to how I see it and in genera...

This has a good story, and was overall a well-rounded experience. It's still a pretty typical action movie, and has a few clichés. But it's certainly well above average. I was a bit surprised by how brutal some scenes were. It's almost like in a splatter-movie, and really well done. But boy, how they shoot Murphy to pieces is just horrifying. But the film also has some great humor in it: like the super-duper killing robot ED209, which can't descend a flight of stairs and subsequently lands on his back like a helpless bug. Anyhow, can recommend.

I don't know what to think about this. It's so well filmed, and looks so good. And it has lots of good moments. But I think I can't get over the fact that this is then spoiled by nonsense dialogues, a weak story, bad dubbing, and weird music choices. Maybe this is meant to be funny? Is it a parody? I don't know. Weird movie.

So, me and the guys had dinner, and we then went to see this on the big screen on film. It was a great evening. And this movie was enjoyable, too: a great cast with their distinct characters in a dialogue-heavy movie. And up to all sort of shenanigans during a what seems to be a turning point in all of their lives. Quite a bit of macho-attitudes and actions, but overall very enjoyable. Has a great cheesy, silly, over-the-top dance scene. :)

Getting back into the writing saddle

Well, thanks very much for this healthy dose of kiwi accent. VLC autoplayed this for us after Dream Scenario; and it was already late at night, but we couldn’t stop watching. We watched the second half on the next day, though. Anyhow… this was a very enjoyable and silly love story - kiwi style.

Very original and entertaining story. Nic Cage is great once more. The last quarter was not quite up to par with the rest; but other than that, very much recommended.

What's new, what I'm working on, and what comes next.

A great movie to end the year. Loved how the whole put-those-sunglasses-on-to-see-the-truth stuff was done. Fantastic and suspenseful story, good score, nice action with a hilarious fight scene in the middle. Saw this at the local cinema, which made this a little more special even.

Solid old-school slasher. Could have had some more explanation of the motive for me, but that's about it regarding criticism. The special effects of the kills are ones of the best I've seen. And it has otherwise good action, a good cast, and some good humour.

This was good! It's a bit like Flatliners meets The Sixth Sense. It was suspenseful, had great acting, great pace, and a real good story (although, I didn't fully get it (,yet?)). It's one of the better newer horror movies for sure. And I'd watch it again.

Well, Mr. Anderson! This is another fine film you made here. And luckily for me, the pace is not as high as his previous effort, which makes this much easier to follow. It's still a raid on your eyes and ears, though. But in a good way. But I always feel, one has to watch his film multiple times to have a chance to fully appreciate them.

Once more, the set, costumes, characters, dialogues, his signature camera work are all top-notch again. It's really neat.

Liked how the photo camera of the main character had audible long exposure times where it made sense. And there's a million other things to like. But that makes it also a bit exhausting. I'd still watch it again!

Well, the first half is actually pretty good, where everyone's mostly talking. And the scene with the first kills is fantastic. And visuals and music are great (and one of the trademarks of this film, I'd say). But then it goes downhill. The action is not very inspired. The end drags on forever, and even the music in becomes cheesy. Meh…
